Jimmy Snuggerud
Before game 7, I just wanted to shout out Jimmy S. The dude transitions from college hockey into a big boy role on our first line in the playoffs against the President’s Trophy winner Jets.
In 6 games, he has: 2 goals, 2 assists, 4 points, +3, averaging 16:28 of ice time all at 20 years old.
Where will this be in 5 years?

For real, regardless of final outcome, the experience he's gaining will be huge for us down the road.Cardsfan1586 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 12:32 pm Before game 7, I just wanted to shout out Jimmy S. Holloway has been a big loss but Snuggy has does a better job of trying to replace him in the top-6 than I think anyone could’ve realistically hoped for.
Re: Jimmy Snuggerud
Yeah. Going in I thought he'd get his feet wet here, then break-in in the AHL for a stretch before coming up next year.Cardsfan1586 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 12:32 pm Before game 7, I just wanted to shout out Jimmy S. Now it's a lead pipe lock he's here for good. A nice bonus heading into building next year's roster.
Re: Jimmy Snuggerud
Already looking forward to him playing next year! Teams will have to watch him which should open up his linemates.

Re: Jimmy Snuggerud
With any luck, hope he ends up with enough games to have more points in the playoffs than Holloway did last year. Hope he gets ALL the games to take a run at it.TBone wrote: ↑04 May 2025 13:11 pmYeah. Re: Jimmy Snuggerud
Snuggerud is a "playoff performer" for sure. Imagine this team with him and Holloway instead of Joseph or Texier. I like the later two and they have done ok in the lineup. This team will be hard to play against if we survive long enough to Holloway back, if he can come back at all this year.

Re: Jimmy Snuggerud
Before the series started, someone stated that "Snuggerud was the key" because Holloway's speed, skill, and scoring ability would have to be replaced because the strength of a second scoring line was required to make the Blues system work.
As it turns out, Snuggs has fit in like a round peg.
Whichever genius made that statement was right. But, Blues haven't won anything yet.

Someone on Twitter asked JR if there was any chance of Holloway returning in Round 2 and JR’s response was, “I don’t believe so, no.”rangergiff wrote: ↑04 May 2025 16:18 pm Snuggerud is a "playoff performer" for sure. So I don’t expect him back anytime soon. Maybe if they go super deep but more than likely we don’t see Holloway until camp in September.
Re: Jimmy Snuggerud
Sadly, the reality is Joseph/Texier are replacing Holloway as opposed to Snuggy. That third line would be so much better with Snuggy or Neighbours on it instead of Joseph or Texier.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑04 May 2025 13:04 pmAbsolutely.sdaltons wrote: ↑04 May 2025 12:38 pmFor real, regardless of final outcome, the experience he's gaining will be huge for us down the road.Cardsfan1586 wrote: ↑04 May 2025 12:32 pm Before game 7, I just wanted to shout out Jimmy S. The ideal scenario is for Holloway to make it back for the WCF vs EDMSTL fan in MN wrote: ↑04 May 2025 17:40 pmSomeone on Twitter asked JR if there was any chance of Holloway returning in Round 2 and JR’s response was, “I don’t believe so, no.”rangergiff wrote: ↑04 May 2025 16:18 pm Snuggerud is a "playoff performer" for sure.
