No doubt in my mind that Faksa ruined Scheifele's shoulder on that play.
Come on FOURTH LINE- WT (Ef'En)' F!!!!!

Remember boys, no matter what happens tonight, we are still technically in the playoffs longer than the Avs, Kings, Bolts, Wild! ::crazya::

Yes, but I'd really love to add Edmonton to that list given the flack we had to take from them last summer.
No matter how things end up, I want us to outlast them.

Very odd and weird round one stat. Blues Jets played the first game of round one and will play the last game in round one. No idea why that fascinates me but it does.

5.5 hours to go.

It appears Logan Stanley is out too. They're beat up...

And for everyone who was complaining about the Blues' hitting early in the series ... this is the reason why.
Is Stanley out bc he’s hurt or is he out because he stinks and is a gorilla hothead who has been prone to losing his [shirt] in the series. FWIW the jets fans on their HF forums do not like the guy.

Zero surprise with Shiefele. I went to the same medical school Monty did but as soon as he didn’t fly with the team on Thursday that cemented the concussion diagnosis for me. Maybe next time he will keep his head up.

I never even played a Doctor on TV so you might be right. Schenn'(poop) didn't look that vicious but he did catch him square on the jaw...
Faksa did put a ton of psi onto his shoulder, though.

This clip tells and shows how cold-blooded Faksa was. With Scheifele bearing down to hit him as the puck was coming to his stck- Faksa stood his ground, played the puck and nailed the (child born out of wedlock) while flat-footed and "helpless".

I honestly and obviously don’t know what the injury is. Just speculating that if one has a concussion it’s not a great idea to fly. If one has a jacked up shoulder and is also a team leader there is no reason he can’t sit on an airplane at altitude and be there with the team.

Either way he will be in the team box in a suit or at home in a dark room. Shame.

Your logic is airtight. As much as I don't love Scheifele, he would have been with the team...

There is always the possibility we could both be right.
Didn’t we learn from Perron’s devastating year long concussion that a second, even minor hit, after a big head hit, can find the brain in a vulnerable state?

Anyway, the lesson is, keep the big hits coming, boys.

Ya Stanley is a loss for us haha. He thinks he's a big tough guy but he sucks and takes tons of penalties

Well, their other options are also pretty non existent.

What will ruin the Jets at some point in their run, regardless of Connor Hellebuyck's play and assuming it doesn't end this evening, is that the size of their top pairing an honestly their top two pairs is on the smaller size, meaning they can't physically pressure much of our team outside of maybe kyrou off of pucks. Everyone else is either too big, or is Nathan Walker who is like that little foot tall dog that goes around on walks acting like he owns all the big dogs and all the territory.

I'll be interested to see how things play out tonight, i'm not expecting much outside of a tight game until the first goal is scored (might be minutes, my be periods), and then things ramp up quickly after that.

So proud of these guys.

Play smart and get the job done!

Hopefully that game 5 loss falls into the "good loss" column and they learned from that road game.

Put it on Hellybuck every chance possible.

Stay out of the box.

Shoot hard, shoot often, and put the puck on net.

Get to the middle of the ice, and don't let Winnipeg.

Follow those 3 simple things and the Blues will be making a trip to Dallas for a tues or weds night game.

George Zipp wrote: 04 May 2025 08:22 am Only 9 hours to go. Nervous energy abound. At least the sun is out so my fun loving but bat sheet crazy dog (he's a terrier, those of you that know, you know) can get a nice long walk this morning. Wife and kids are working on a new from scratch pizza recipe for dinner for the game. Will go through our usual brawling about toppings. I want caveman meat. They want veggies. I think we've compromised one each so all is good.

This 9 hours is going to feel like 875 hours.

Will be interested to see the Schiefle decision. I agree with the poster who noted yesterday that he didn't fly bc it has to be a concussion. If it was his ribs or spleen or whatever, no reason he doesn't at least travel to be with the team.
Umm, we have a cockapoo and can understand your pain.

It's going to boil down to players stepping up against opposing lines they have yet to beat. The Jets get the final change and we have yet to overcome that obstacle. One things for sure, Schenn's line needs to produce (he has 0pts at -3 playing in their house this series) as Thomas's line has consistently got the toughest draws, and unlike last game, we can't count on the 4th line producing 5 total points. Also, we can't have Kyrou a -3 again (he has 1g at -5 in WPG). It's kinda ironic that the most consistent forward in WPG has been Snuggy, with 2g's in three games.

They can do it, and if we somehow get a 2+ goal lead, those Jets come crashing down...
