Do we have more Kyrous (or more Holloways) in the Pipeline?
With the playoff disappearance of Kyrou, it makes me wander who else will go missing down the road.
Anyone have an opinion on if Dvorsky, Stenberg, Lindstein et al are more Kyrou-ish? or more Holloway/Bolduc-ish?

Let me summarize what the exercise feels like having talked through all of your question with you recently.
It feels like you started a new thread not to talk this through, since it literally just occurred. You know people are going to attack you personally, it feels like a magnet for that. So as someone who thinks about your question and who's conversed with you recently I respect my time too much to go through it all again, just to occupy time and attention. [One quick post and done here.]
"With something negative happening, something else negative might happen. I'm the only one who sees it." I feel like this is your main thesis. Maybe you're right, maybe you are the only one who can see negative things in the world. But probably not. Again there are like 100-150 people here and when you say the same thing over and over, then over time it feels like you feel like you're not truly being heard but you are, so then it feels like you're craving to be seen. We see you. You're probably a good person away from all this just like the people who are likely to say negative things to you now. That's my meta 2 cents man.

Since Kyrou has most assuredly NOT disappeared I really have to question why you would go down this road.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑03 May 2025 12:10 pm With the playoff disappearance of Kyrou, it makes me wander who else will go missing down the road.

Read my posts today in other threads, the other Kyrou thread would be a good start. There are facts in my posts that trash your opinion that Kyrou has disappeared. Like, last night the Blues outscored Winnipeg 2-0 at even strength. That's right, the Jets got ZERO goals at even strength! Kyrou was a big part of that. A big part of that, based on ice time, not in "disappearance".
So tell me again, Hockey Guru, what point are you REALLY trying to make here?

I think teams are just focusing on shutting down Kyrou.
That's why everyone else is scoring. Both Thomas and Kyrou have been nullified but the rest of the team is busting loose. Seems like it's working.

An exciting playoff game 7 tomorrow, and this is what the goof wants to focus on right now.

I have wondered whether Winnipeg figured from the start they could knock Kyrou out of the game ...without knocking him out of the game.

Man I know it's Saturday, but I sure could go for some TACOS!

I think that there are MORE Hockey Men on BluesTalk, than Psychologists, but it appears close.
Nevertheless, I appreciate everyone's feedback.
The reason that I bring it up now is that the playoffs reveal a lot about the true value of the roster, and I want to learn as much as I can about our players and prospects while we are in the moment.
I've seen a lot of concern on here about Kyrou, and a lot of love of Holloway and Fowler etc. Maybe, Kyrou is contributing off the box score, so that is fine too.
Maybe I was harsh to pick on Kryou, and that inflamed people. Sorry.
Here is what I'm really asking. In the playoffs, some players really stand out as being impacting, and on the Blues this list seems to be a different set of players than the key guys during the regular season. There is a lot of overlap in the lists, but definitely different. For the people who know why this is, do you suspect that Dvorsky and the rest have playoff DNA or not?

Maybe if the sample was more than six games we could deduce something from the data. From the data we can assume Fowler will score 100 points next season in 80 games.

It also ignores the fact that Rou has been quite good when he’s been in the playoffs before.
You know, having agendas and such. (shrugs).

Thomas has 8 points in 6 games, I'm not sure how that is being nullified.

I didn't realize Thomas had so many points. I guess it's just Kyrou then.Walter Sobchak00 wrote: ↑03 May 2025 17:34 pmThomas has 8 points in 6 games, I'm not sure how that is being nullified.

2023 and 2024 drafts most of the top picks are known as 200 ft players with high compete levels. I think they don't want to spend 5-6 years trying to convince players to play the right way anymore.

When we had a Border Collie dog, she would leak all over our big back yard. Where she went, the grass was really green and smelled like ammonia fertilizer.
That’s my take on the “smell of green grass.”
I hope this was helpful.
