Don't Care What Happens Sunday!
Proud of how the Blues have played this season! If they loose on Sunday, I'll be grateful for a good season of play. But it sure would be nice to hand the Jets a big loss to end their season!
Re: Don't Care What Happens Sunday!
Well, I care, a lot - BUT if they lose, I would still admire the way they came back so strong to make the playoffs and dominated the Jets on home ice. IMO if they win at Winnipeg Sunday, it will be one of the largest upsets in NHL history.
The Presidents' Trophy winner gets knocked off in the first round by the wild card team who barely got in. Remarkable!

I have the feeling the Blues take game 7. They've played three competitive games at Winnipeg and have come out on the losing end. They have played three dominant games at home. I think it's time for the Blues to win a close one on the road, and move on to the next round.
But as to this team, even if they falter on Sunday night, it has exceeded expectations for the season. Let's go Blues

I’ll care and I’ll be bummed if it is an L. But either way this team is set up very nicely for the future. It’s been a great series that especially the young kids got some great experience from. The team has been exciting to watch and really play for eachother. Alot of young cheap talent. Outstanding coaching. The window is opening and the Blues will be a juggernaut in a few years

I woke up this morning and pinched myself. Was that a dream? BAM BAM BAM three goals, that HAD to be a dream! Broberg literally throwing a Jets player down! Had to be a dream. Parayko taking a ROUGHING penalty!
17-5. Glad you could come, Connor, come back anytime!
17-5. I really wonder how the rest of the league is processing this. I mean, Binner is already inside MacKinnon's head! Surely, they must be thinking, our guy in net can't be THAT bad. Or maybe there's something else going on there, something we may be about to face?
The end of my dream is 15,000+ Jets fans throwing in their white towels. Literally. Blues mobbing Binner. The Blues have made correctable mistakes in the past road games. The war of attrition is mental as well as physical, I see the Blues gaining the upper hand. As much as I want them to win Game 7 or believe they can or will, the players have to go do it. This promises to be a classic, GET IT DONE! LGB!
Kyrou breaks out, Blues protect a late lead, win 6-3.

The biggest difference has veen goaltending. Weve been outplayed in winnipeg but bonny has kept us in it. Helly is rattled. Outside of game 2, he wasnt even that good in their other 2 wins. We need to keep on the pressure and not let the jets defense smother us. Helly is very beatable in his current stateBrummerStealsHome wrote: ↑03 May 2025 08:43 am I have the feeling the Blues take game 7. Well I will care, but they've definitely exceeded my expectations for the season and the foundation certainly looks strong going forward

I agree with your take here. My only caution on juggernaut is I think it depends on them having a replacement for Faulk who is an excellent top pairing caliber RHD at the right age for the group. I don't see that player currently in the org or draftable without some imminent exceptional luck. It's not to go after Faulk but just to say Faulk is an adequate player with plusses and minuses whose individual window is closing in this upcoming team window. So they will have to solve this problem likely via trade. Possibly free agency. It's been done but it's difficult enough that a bunch of teams who need this particular anchor RHD piece can't get it. But the rest of it, yeah I am enthused as hell about the imminent 2023 draft on what's already in place.

There were multiple times this season I thought for sure they had no chance to make the PO's. They have already exceeded my expectations and I believe they will shock the world tomorrow.

Re: Don't Care What Happens Sunday!
I don’t think I’d call it one of the largest upsets in NHL history. A lot of hockey experts and media thought the Blues would give Winnipeg all they could handle. The most recent huge upset to me was the Columbus sweep over Tampa Bay in 4 games in 2019.12xu wrote: ↑03 May 2025 08:39 amWell, I care, a lot - BUT if they lose, I would still admire the way they came back so strong to make the playoffs and dominated the Jets on home ice.
