Don’t count those chickens yet
Any Blues fan who thinks Blues will generally outplay Jets in Winnipeg is crazy. Binnington will have to steal a 2-1 type game for Blues to win, IMHO.

Re: Don’t count those chickens yet
I was super worried about game 5. The consensus seemed to be that Helly was broken and the over confidence was unfounded in my opinion. Jets are a good team and I wasn’t the least bit surprised they showed up for game 5. That said, maybe the Blues win game 7, maybe they don’t, but I feel better about our chances than I did for game 5.

Great points…they are still a great team and still have a great goalie. Apparently this is one of those series where the home teams really feed of their crowd’s energy.
Hopefully the Blues are the ones to buck that trend!

The empty net has a better save percentage than Hellebuyck. They should try 6 men from the initial puck drop

Jets are a great team in their arena..game 7 is going to come down to Binner for sure. At this point Binner is just not only the greatest goalie in Blues history, he’s trending near replacing Hull as the greatest Blue of all time.

I'm going to see if I can rent a Canadian Bush Plane and fly this message really low over Winnipeg today.ForumPolice wrote: ↑03 May 2025 08:24 am The empty net has a better save percentage than Hellebuyck. They should try 6 men from the initial puck drop
I would not wish Hellebuyck on any hockey fan. He is a head-case choker.

At one point you never thought you could make that argument, but yes he is getting there and if he wears the Bluenote to retirement and possibly gets another cup on his resume it could very well be truePierre McGuire wrote: ↑03 May 2025 08:39 am Jets are a great team in their arena..game 7 is going to come down to Binner for sure. I hope no one on here is counting their chickens. That would be quite silly.

Blues will need to score on the PP in my view of they want to move on. 0-7 at home is bad confounding they can't make adjustments and have some better success

despecify the chickens for a bit, make it hazy

All those years of questionable goaltending: Turek, Ty Conklin, Ryan Miller, Osgood, Reinhard Divis, Tom Barrasso, Jim Carey, and on and on and on.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑03 May 2025 08:39 am Jets are a great team in their arena..game 7 is going to come down to Binner for sure. I seriously get welled up in the eyes watching Binnington play. The statue should be on order as soon as he hangs it up.

Re: Don’t count those chickens yet
This series sort of reminds me of the "Monday Night Miracle" series against a heavily favored Calgary team which the Blues forced to a 7th game in Calgary which the Flames one 2-1.
The Blues were a heavy underdog in that one too.
Hopefully a different result this time.
A goofy deflection, a lucky bounce, or maybe the Blues just flat out play them and win.

I'm with you. And I hope Binnington's a Blue for the rest of his career.somni wrote: ↑03 May 2025 14:19 pmAll those years of questionable goaltending: Turek, Ty Conklin, Ryan Miller, Osgood, Reinhard Divis, Tom Barrasso, Jim Carey, and on and on and on.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑03 May 2025 08:39 am Jets are a great team in their arena..game 7 is going to come down to Binner for sure.
