The St. Louis Blues (2-3) know the odds.
They know that, when a series is tied 2-2, the team who wins Game 5 usually wins the series. They know they're a Wild Card team going up against the favored Presidents' Trophy winners. But they also know that the odds have been against them most of this season, and that hasn't stopped them yet.
Friday has become a must-win scenario for the Blues after falling 5-3 to the Winnipeg Jets (3-2) in Game 5 of their first-round matchup. It continued the trend of the home team winning every game so far, which St. Louis hopes to continue as they return to Enterprise Center with their season on the line.
"They got the better of us [Wednesday], but we know we've got Game 6 at home and a job to do," said Justin Faulk. "It's a place we're comfortable playing, comfortable with our group and we expect a good effort that night."

I understand catering to veteran experience but Suter-Leddy was not a good look. Need an RHD on the road (Kessel) but at home they might get by with the upper hand on matchups and no Scheifele to burn them. These guys need to HELP get the Blues to Game 7, not be the weak link.

Agreed. Separating those 2 would be my one change. I don't like them together at all.DawgDad wrote: ↑02 May 2025 10:47 am I understand catering to veteran experience but Suter-Leddy was not a good look. Monty on Scheifele being out: "Any player that’s missing out on the opportunity to play in the Stanley Cup Finals, I have empathy for, whether it’s a Jets player or it’s Holloway or Tucker that aren’t going to get the opportunity to play right now ... because you work all season for this opportunity. But the Stanley Cup playoffs, it’s a war of attrition, and early in the series both teams have had significant injuries. We've got to make sure that we’re playing to our identity -- us, pack-of-wolves mentality is more important than any individual on our own team and for the other team as well. It’s about us."

Frankly, I'll take that trade, though more minutes for Lowry isn't all that appealing.
Re: GDT: Jets at Blues 7:00 TNT, truTV, MAX, FanDuel
I'm all balled up and very distracted today.
I want the best the boys can do and fair officiating from the zebras.
What a game this is.

Here’s tonight’s refs:
https://scoutingtherefs.com/2025/05/484 ... s-5-2-25/
Jean Hebert and Peter MacDougall.
The good news: the home team wins 67%/65% when these guys ref.
The bad news: the Jets are undefeated the last 2 years when either of these guys ref their games.
Somewhat bad news: Hebert calls slightly more penalties on the home team. Normally the home team has an advantage there.

This is a bridge too far for me to worry about lol. I mean ... I have "refs will do awful [shirt] in the playoffs gotta overcome" just coded into reality at this pointSTL fan in MN wrote: ↑02 May 2025 16:14 pm Here’s tonight’s refs:
