Crav - i have been in Florida for a month basically unplugged to the minors, Mathews went down just as i was leaving. Forgive me if i missed any updates but has there been anything new with his status?

yeah...recently he rejoined Memphis and is scheduled to start a throwing program. That's all we have for now. I guess he needed R&R for his shoulder??? I'm guessing there, but I do know that no procedures happened on his shoulder.

thanks -- good news i guess?? or ominous? if he is throwing right handed during his rehab we will learn more.

Sparks, I think, was trying to start a sinking fastball above the zone and have it finish in the zone. But the PSL guys are ready and punishing that strategy.
