Scheifele Out Game 6
That’s a helper!
Re: Scheifele Out Game 6
Wow it must be semi-serious to already be announcing that

Didn't get on the plane. They announced that. Even that announcement surprised me. Teams rarely disclose any of this stuff.

Meh... in theory, yes. But, the Jets depth-scoring was non-existent until last night. Schenn seemed to ignite some unity in them. Hopefully there's no carryover effect.
What p*sses me off is, had the refs been doing their job and called the flopping Jets for their multiple embellishment dives through the series, Schenn'(poop) may have never happened.
Re: Scheifele Out Game 6
I'm sure they announced it early to get some press about it, get the NHL's sympathy, and get some pity from the refs Friday night. Gamesmanship pure and simple.George Zipp wrote: ↑01 May 2025 13:18 pm Didn't get on the plane. They announced that. Even that announcement surprised me. Teams rarely disclose any of this stuff.
Tough noogies. This is a man's game ... and a man's series. If they think this is tough, the Panthers play just as heavy as the Blues do.
They now weigh even heavier on Hellebuyck. Can he handle this?

We are going to need more than 12 shots on goal first two periods or whatever it was. He let in a Jake Allen esque softie last night on Snuggy's goal. We need to be so much better putting pucks at the net.bud white wrote: ↑01 May 2025 13:26 pmI'm sure they announced it early to get some press about it, get the NHL's sympathy, and get some pity from the refs Friday night. Each game can sometimes be a separate event in a playoff series. What gets lost sometimes in everyone fondly remembering going to Boston and pulling off a 4-1 win is the fact that we got waxed 5-1 at home in game 6.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑01 May 2025 13:25 pmMeh... in theory, yes. Oh darn.
Playoffs are rife with injuries. Blues have their share and so does every other team.
Blues just have to play better no matter who is wearing the Jets jersey.

Yep. That game was over in about 10 minutes.netboy65 wrote: ↑01 May 2025 13:30 pmEach game can sometimes be a separate event in a playoff series. Already been announced there won’t be one. I agree with bud white. It’s gamesmanship to try to get favorable calls going forward. Sometimes it works, even if just subconsciously.

Definitely gamesmanship trying to get an edge to survive the series.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑01 May 2025 14:27 pmAlready been announced there won’t be one. I agree with bud white. It’s gamesmanship to try to get favorable calls going forward. Sometimes it works, even if just subconsciously.
Arniel revealing they have been doing institutional whining to the league since series puck drop is humiliating for him. Berube would never say that

Re: Scheifele Out Game 6
I think Arniel is a fine coach but I lost a little respect for him with that comment as well. They’ve really been complaining to the league for all 5 games? The mean ole Blues? I thought both teams were being very physical but for the most part keeping it clean. Whatever. Just need to take Game 6 and go from there.seattleblue wrote: ↑01 May 2025 14:32 pmDefinitely gamesmanship trying to get an edge to survive the series.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑01 May 2025 14:27 pmAlready been announced there won’t be one. Re: Scheifele Out Game 6
I'm sure the over 200 hits Winnipeg has landed this series were 100% clean.
Re: Scheifele Out Game 6
Throughout the league - and especially in Montreal - there is little love lost for Shiefele. Folks are pointing toward cosmic Karma pointing toward 55s hit on Evans during the SC Playoff Bubble a few years ago.
I had no issue with Schenn'(poop) at all. As to interference - we've already seen later hits this playoff. This is Game 5 for crying out loud. Everybody knows what's going on and everybody should be ready to get thumped.
