Why are the Blues having so much trouble getting hemmed in in their own zone this series? Is it a Blues thing or a Jets thing? Obviously the Jets are doing something right, but I also feel like the Blues could make some adjustments.
I think part of the Blues' game (and something they are actually pretty good at) is to provide really good puck support deep in our zone, so a quick pass or two and we are moving it up the ice. However, this doesn't seem to be working as well against the Jets...Jets are breaking up those passes and regaining possession of the puck before we can actually get it out of the zone.
My thought is that they need to simplify their game and recognize when it's time to chip it high and hard off the glass instead of looking for the pass. Just wondering if anyone else has any thoughts here. If we have one achilles heel this series, this feels like it.
