Re: Kyrou still in hybernation!
The whole team has issues getting the puck in their zone and can’t get it out of our own, but sure, blame one guy

What was so sweet about the drop pass? The only reason he made it is because his aversion to contact won't allow him to attempt a power move around the defender. Then Thomas has to slow down and alter his line of attack to corral it.Rickety cricket wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 22:50 pm He had a pretty sweet drop pass towards the end of the period….so he’s like there but not really truly there. Like a figment that pops in an out of consciousness, a flash but ultimately whispered ash that passes thru your fingertips

Re: Kyrou still in hybernation!
Every time Kyrou notices a defender heading towards him when he has the puck or is trying to gain possession he ends up losing it because he won't use his body for leverage or to protect the puck and reaches with his stick. Somebody else was correct. This isn't his type of game

He needs to sit Friday. He was the worst player on the ice tonight and has been invisible this series

I realize I failed to use blue but thought something so simple and insignificant to call attention to as a ‘defense’ would be sarcasm enough.Blue Sabbath wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 23:15 pmWhat was so sweet about the drop pass? To be honest, it wasn’t a good drop pass, it was a scaredy cat move because he got hit in game 1. Dude just doesn’t have it for whatever reason, he’s too scared to get hit which I totally understand as someone who also prefers to not get hit, but then again I’m not paid to score goals.

As much as I like 25, he is absolutely miserable at 6 on 5. He will not take a hit to make a play. The 2nd line needs to be blown up after tonight.

When your sniper moves in on RW with space and drop passes to Faulk, there is a problem. Has to shoot there every single time.

I have a bias from all those that rush to his defense every time someone criticizes him that prevented me from paying attention past your first sentence.Rickety cricket wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 23:23 pmI realize I failed to use blue but thought something so simple and insignificant to call attention to as a ‘defense’ would be sarcasm enough.Blue Sabbath wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 23:15 pmWhat was so sweet about the drop pass? There are other players that didn’t have a perfect game but you see them competing hard all over the ice. When the space is limited like it is and no time to make plays all 5 players on the ice need to battle for space. Unfortunately to beat a team like the Jets you need every player to battle and give 110% and you’ll hear anyone that knows anything about hockey say you need to be willing to take hits to make the right play.

He has been a passenger all series. 2 PP goals, one a 5on3 goal. Nobody around him on either goal. He can't handle tight checking. Soft player and will never win a cup.

Doesn’t his NTC kick in after the season? We might be stuck with him, which sucks

Not sure, I think Schenn and Leddy's do.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 23:36 pm Doesn’t his NTC kick in after the season? We might be stuck with him, which sucks
Either way, hopefully Kyrou is traded for Brady Tkachuk and we can move on from him already. He is what he is, perfect player for the Maple Leafs to have. He will fit in lovely there.

Maybe Chicago would have interest in him as a linemates for Bedard and trade their early first rounder for him and our first.MarmolMathenyShildtLOL wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 23:37 pmNot sure, I think Schenn and Leddy's do.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 23:36 pm Doesn’t his NTC kick in after the season? You’re trading him for BT but he’s going to fit in well with the Leafs???MarmolMathenyShildtLOL wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 23:37 pmNot sure, I think Schenn and Leddy's do.ZouMiz2424 wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 23:36 pm Doesn’t his NTC kick in after the season? We might be stuck with him, which sucks

This wasn't a single player failure. The Blues didn't show up. Blame anyone including the goaltending all you want but this was a team effort loss.
