I also saw a comment from one that said the Jets should be up 3-1. Made me curious if it was the game they lost by 5 or the game they lost by 4 that they should have won.
Dont forget they only won the first two games cuz we put it in our own net.
They're 2 lucky (donkey) bounces from possibly being swept.
Did the Blues having scored one ES goal in two games have anything to do with the outcomes?
Sure...you're making my case even stronger, the Blues were struggling and were STILL 2 lucky bounces from winning both games.
At the risk of stating the overly obvious, playoff success is made and broken on lucky bounces. How many bounces went the Blues way that kept the Jets from running away with it?
I hope the puck luck favors the Blues the rest of the way. More breaks like the glove save on the goal line. That could steered the game in another direction if it’s clearly a goal.

I disagree. Lucky bounces can happen and they can have a big effect on a play or even a game but "playoff success is made and broken by lucky bounces."???
Not at all. Many many other factors are at play here. Not just one and definitely not just lucky bounces.
The good news is the Blues goals and really their entire play the past two games is way more skilled than the Jets and that is why they are winning games. So many other factors than lucky bounces are at play every game / series.

Apparently they all think the jets should just run binner first thing in the first period.
There's a precedent of players taking out Binnington and then escaping any form of punishment....
They should be calling him Nazem CONNdri in Colorado for that one. That made is even more perplexing when TNT (Biz) was sooo upset at Andersen getting injured for CAR. It seems sometimes it's OK to recklessly make contact with the goalie and other times not?
I've watched the replay of the "hit" on Anderson and to be honest, it's not even close to what Kadri did to Binnington. Based on Biz's reaction to the hit on Anderson, I can only assume he was livid and beside himself when Binner was trucked??

You can walk outside and get hit by a meteorite and that might be bad luck. Covid was bad luck. Inside of a hockey rink you make your own luck.

Agreed, name me one goal in the last two home games where anyone said 'wow that was a lucky bounce'
Maybe the one of Pionk but deflections like that happen every minute. The one off Suter in Game 1 happens maybe once every month in the NHL....he even knew it.

You don't have to dig very far into FB to find really stupid people saying really stupid things. The fact that some northern plains inbreds want to run binner is zero surprise. I wonder what they had for lunch. Hope they posted pics.
I think the HF boards are more indicative of the average fan. I haven't seen any "let's attack the goalie" posts. They are far too busy whining about the flu and the refs. Never seen an entire hockey team that has Stage 11 influenza for the entire series like the Jets. It's a major miracle that they haven't infected one of our guys given how close proximity these guys are to each other on the ice. Maybe we are just well vaxxed (this is not a political statement about vaccinations mods, this is a bad joke). Oh, and they don't much like their netminder. Or their coach. Or their GM. Or their 2nd, 3rd and 4th lines. Really anybody not named Schieffle or Connor.
Never been on face book and never will either.
I've been reading their stuff on HF and I'd rate the vast majority as fairly mature level headed fans, far better than a ton of other franchises. Even in the minority viewpoint I've seen nothing of running JB but yeah b11tching and whining about stuff I haven't seen watching the same game.
For the most part, they are upset and furious and in disbelief of their own team. I might have more awareness of the Jets coming back than a good lot of them.

Wonder how they would feel if we took out Ehlers, Connor, Schiefle and Vilardi then ran Hellechoke?
I get targeting their more talented players but for some odd reason Perfetti just has RBF all the time which i deem to be a very punchable face. Would love to see neighbors or schenner check that look off his face.

Or players leaving guys wide open in front chasing guys in the corner? Outside of lamenting Kyrou not scoring to make it 4-2, Wpg won the first two fair and square, same as we pasted them 3 and 4.

They definitely won fair and square. Not sure anyone is saying they didn't. But extremely fortuitous bounces contributed to those wins. Yes, it happens in sports, lucky bounces/breaks, that is. So we move on and play again.

Curious how many "lucky bounces" occur with no consequence. My guess is many more, but they're forgotten precisely because they changed nothing.

I'd be surprised if they didn't try to run Binner.
They can't figure how to beat him, and the League blind-eyes such infractions.
