Cards Ownership Should Learn from the Blues

Post by Galatians221jb1 »

The Blues, in the midst of a dismal start, pounce on perhaps the best Head Coach in the league and now we are in the playoffs having been the best team in the NHL for the second part of the season. This is deja vu as they did the same thing in 2019.

The Cards need to go back to the days of Schoendienst, Herzog, LaRussa and bring in proven talent to turn the ship around. Make the transition now with MO/Bloom and hopefully allow Bloom to bring in a proven manager like Skip Schumacher, who won Manager of the Year two years ago. If not Skip then someone who can manage a game and a roster as well. Someone that the players can look up to, respect and be inspired by. Monty does all of this for the Blues.

If it's broken fix it.

Ok, but who is the best or near best manager we can pounce on?

Skip's in the Rangers front office. Surely they would let him pursue a managerial position unless they want him for the same.

Look, you've got to quit putting so much pressure on Oli. Baseball is hard. I think another extension, make it a solid 5 years this time, that way he'll know he can really ease into this thing, and everything will be fine. Remember, he never made it to the big leagues, he's figuring all this out as he goes. Oli's a person. Don't be so cruel. There's more to life than winning. There's nothing more important in baseball than winning. But isn't the old saying, baseball is life? Eh, ehh? See, good.

That’s why I’m advocating making the switch to Bloom now. All he has to do is be better than Mo

Just don’t let Monty nearer than 10 miles away from Danny Mac. Those two could do some real damage.

I respect people who have overcome serious personal problems, being one of them.

Why would owners hire a manager they can’t control that would force them to spend more money??
DeWitt is the problem. He’s not rich enough to own a successful team in today’s MLB because he’s not willing to take payroll chances.
Again, DeWitt is the problem.
💩 rolls downhill. DeWitt is at the top. It’s him. Anyone arguing otherwise is a Stan

The last time I checked, the Cardinals ownership was ranked #7 in MLB.

What matters is how well the ownership has done
since they purchased the team, and how well it is now set up for the future with Bloom, Cerfolio, etc.

You’re suggesting that what happened 30 years ago matters more than this season?

What I’m suggesting, is to judge anything or anyone, look at their entire body of work.
