Re: Anyone else find these 3-day game intervals
I much prefer an every other day sort of cadence. This series has really dragged on. I can only assume it’s like this due to event conflicts in both buildings?
Then again, a lot of the other series are similar too so maybe it’s a league-wide strategy. But who knows, maybe it’s actually helping the Blues. They looked a little gassed in Games 1 and 2, perhaps a little tired from all the pressure at the end to just make the playoffs that perhaps the extra rest has helped a bit. And both Thomas and Parayko didn’t look 100% to start the series either but now look like their usual selves.
It’s also probably helped the product a bit too. I doubt this series would be breaking records for most hits if the cadence was more every other day.

Ugh. Hadn’t thought of that yet. My son has a soccer game at 8:30 Saturday morning in a town 50 minutes away. I was hoping the early Sat mornings were over once hockey season ended but I guess not.
Have they announced a start time for Friday’s game yet?

Its been 100% driven by arena availability.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 08:57 am I much prefer an every other day sort of cadence. This series has really dragged on. I can only assume it’s like this due to event conflicts in both buildings?

Re: Anyone else find these 3-day game intervals
You’d think but no.
The Game 6s of the WSH-MTL and FLA-TB series would also be Friday night. But both of those series could also wrap up tonight. My guess is if one or both of those series continues, then we’ll have another “8:30” (more like 8:55 starting on a different channel) start time.
Re: Anyone else find these 3-day game intervals
Game 5 is tonight (Wednesday). Not liking the 9:30 ET start tonight.
I think the extra rest benefits the Blues as they are the more physical hitting team in the series, lets the players rest up a bit. Plus it gives their goalie more time to stress out. Series seems to be switching to a 2 game interval from here on out.

Re: Anyone else find these 3-day game intervals
They have not. It's going to be contingent on the other series. Car/NJ game 6 was supposed to be Friday so that's no longer an issue. Habs/Caps and Bolts/Lightning both are scheduled for Friday. Both series play tonight and both can end this evening.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 09:00 amUgh. Hadn’t thought of that yet. Suspect if they both end tonight game will start at 7. If both go to a next game almost certain we get the dreaded 830 (really 850) start. If one ends and one goes to game 6 I'm really hoping it's a thing where one game starts at 6 Central and ours starts at 7. I suppose that all depends on who is handling the broadcasts. Best case scenario from a selfish perspective is Caps and Panthers win tonight.
And for those keeping track it's going to be almost 80 hours between games 4 and 5. Game 4 ended at 3 Sunday. Game 5 starts at 850 tonight. It's too much.

I don't know what I was thinking about. Maybe going over to a buddy's man cave to watch Game 6 Friday night.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 09:00 amUgh. Hadn’t thought of that yet. Last night the Canada Life Centre featured a concert by Bush called Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour. I've never even heard of them.Natl20 wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 09:00 amIts been 100% driven by arena availability.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 08:57 am I much prefer an every other day sort of cadence. I keep hoping that the extra time allows Holiday to heal and be ready if we make it to the next round.
Re: Anyone else find these 3-day game intervals
Please let Friday be a late game.
I've committed to going to SIL birthday dinner
and I probably cant get out of it now....unless someone wants to give me a ticket
, that would hold as a legitimate excuse to skip.
9ish start would be wonderful, good dinner, some drinks, head home and watch!!

Good luck! I didn't get to go this year. I had a new granddaughter born and couldn't swing the time off, plus I am having some back issues. It is one of my favorite hunting seasons though. I love the Spring Thunder.dhsux wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 09:45 amThat's exactly what will happen.STL fan in MN wrote: ↑30 Apr 2025 09:17 amYou’d think but no.
