I'm just trying to tell you in my opinion, superstitions aside, the Jets are a very good team and there is no sure thing in front of the Blues.
My recommendation to you is settle down and wait to see what happens it's not for me it's for you. And yeah it's just a 2 cent opinion you are your own fan so do as you please.

I absolutely believe in jinxes and reverse jinxes. I cannot under any circumstances see the Blues winning this series.
Re: Are the Jets and Hellasuck cooked??
There is no way we should ha e won game 2 objectively speaking. We were well outplayed though we hung in game. Game 1 we were well outplayed in 3rd. Yes we blew them out worse in our wins but that means nothing. Its dumb to call a series over. They are returning home and helly is fully capable of rebounding even though hes been rough in his last 3 postseasons.TampaBlues78 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 18:26 pmHave you watched the same series I am watching? the blues could’ve and maybe should’ve won both games in the Peg and were completely obliterated in games 3 &4!!blackinkbiz wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 18:24 pmNo! Jets won the Pres trophy for a reason. They're getting healthier. No one has won a road game yet and that is advantageous to the Jets as things currently stand.
This thing is 2-2. I still think Jets are likely to win.![]()
Also, helly was part of why game 4 was a blowout. We still outplayed winnipeg but if he played closer to his ability, that could have been a much closer game.
Also keep in mind that winnipeg could get villardi back.
Jets have been missing their 3rd andn4th best forwards vilardi and elgers.
Vilardi scored 27 goals and 61 points in 71 games. He cluld give them a secondary scoring line and make an impact in this series if hes cleared to return.

Someone start talking politics so we can shut down this thread!

Ouch!! I was trying to gauge what everyone was thinking/feeling… after years and years of being 1/2 glass empty pessimisticism however that’s pronounced and our team always choking in the past because as a fan base there is no confidence… like every announcer said we are playing with house money and I am confident our boys have this team shook like b-rabbit did to clarence in 8-mile

I agree. I'm not telling you that you shouldn't say anything, I'm trying to keep myself from getting my hopes up and getting crushed. lolTampaBlues78 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 18:36 pmFair enough… like I said just asking the group consensus on if they’ve seen what i’ve seen and I have seen that our boys are playing some man hockeyTAFKAP wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 18:32 pmPlaying Devils Advocate, they didn't though. it's tied. although they weren't consecutive games, the Blues lost 7-2 and 5-1 against Boston in 2019. I do agree with you being let down sucks. Especially for us blues fans because more often than not we have heartbreak… after flying from the phoenix area to go see gm 4, I mean dang our boys look good and The Peg looks shook again I know things can change from game to game and with the extra day of rest I am not sure which team it benefits the mostTAFKAP wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 19:49 pmI agree. Blues fans should root however they want to. I choose to believe that they're going to win this series. And I have two big reasons: momentum and Binnington versus Hellychoke. The Blues are very confident right now, so why shouldn't I be?

In any case, after being down 0-2, coming home and wailing the tar out of the best reg. season team in the league, all we can really responsibly say is...
Like our chances.

1.) St. Louis is a young team and it is finding its own identity but it isn't there yet.
2.) St. Louis has very little experience outside of our vets from 2019 and the Oiler infusion that have playoff experience.
3.) Winnepeg knows what people think of them, they have a record and they have pride. They will come to play today.
There is one thing that is absolutely true though. Connor Hellebuyck is a career choker in the playoffs. His record of floundering would do Sebastian proud. He knows this as well. The key for St. Louis will be to pepper him and draw blood early on. Then pour on the shots until the bleeding becomes open wounds in his confidence. The key for Connor will be to find that fire within himself to want to prove the people like me wrong. He has to want to bring it in a manner he hasn't been able to do so far in his career.
Re: Are the Jets and Hellasuck cooked??
Just keep the Jets frustrated and they break pretty easily. Hopefully the blues get a quick early goal to start game 5 and put them down.
Re: Are the Jets and Hellasuck cooked??
Hard to measure "pressure", but Blues must win a game in Winnipeg, a feat few teams did in regular season.
There's a lot of "pressure" on Blues to win tonight; otherwise, it's must-win at home (no pressure, correct?) and game seven on the road.

Re: Are the Jets and Hellasuck cooked??
Of course there's pressure, both teams want to win. The biggest difference is level of expectations that comes with the top seed and home ice advantage.
The Blues have been trying to win a game in Winnipeg going back into the regular season. They keep coming close. As a team they have been growing their game since the 4Nations and working in a key young player (Snuggerud), they have been getting better. They have spread some seeds of doubt, they need to stay on the offensive, play as the aggressor, and those seeds might take root.
Every game in the playoffs is a separate battle of the bigger war. Experienced/winning teams know how to compartmentalize each game, move on to the next one. If the Blues as a team have arrived at that level they could win this game, this battle. No guarantees, but they SHOULD be capable, they now need to prove it.
