The fact that it's basically average is very sad. 5 teams, including the Dodgers, have a sub .300 SLG% from the 5th spot.

And the 5 Singles he had recently were seeing eye singles....hits nonetheless, but not what you want from your 5 hitter.
Nado makes big bucks. He's a future HOF player. He's earned big bucks. And you know what...if your beloved Burly was half as good as you thought he was, he'd be making big bucks too! Unfortunately for fans, he sucks! Unfortunately for his future contracts, he sucks!
Bottom line...guys who make big bucks have earned those big bucks!

I see a rain delay coming. If it comes to that who does it favor. We’d lose the Mik and have to go pen, maybe Matz.

Re: GDT: Cards @ Reds (4/29) ~ 5:40pm CDT
He was hitting well until he got hurt, 10 for 27 before going on the IL. He has 2 doubles since returning to the lineup. We haven't gotten any slugging out of the 5th spot since Herrera went down. Moving Contreras into that spot makes total sense. Winn is less likely to hit into DP's. The lineup construction with Winn in the 2 hole and Contreras hitting 5th feels a lot better IMO.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 17:19 pmHe's only been back a handful of gamesFuturegm2 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 14:52 pmGood, then we can get a more productive bat in the 5th spot, which is the area of the lineup that Contreras should have been in all along.
