Colorado or Dallas
Do you want to play?
Re: Colorado or Dallas
Presumptuous, so all respects to Jobu, but I’d prefer Colorado if I have to choose. They aren’t as deep and thus easier to game plan.
Both teams are very scary to me either way

Re: Colorado or Dallas
I was thinking about this the other day. Sure won't get any easier, will it?
Re: Colorado or Dallas
Dallas has Oettinger in goal. That is the difference maker to me in this series with Colorado. Because of him, I would rather the Blues play Colorado in the next round. Colorado doesn't have a shutdown goalie.

Re: Colorado or Dallas
It’s a tough call for me. Depends on the health of Heiskanen and Robertson for Dallas IMO. If they’d both still be out, I’d probably choose Dallas. But if either one or both of them would be in, then I’m taking my chances with Wedgewood over Oettinger.
Re: Colorado or Dallas
Colorado for couple reasons
1. The goalie
2. They're back to having one line that is scary then a bunch of average or above average lines. And now with Rantanen gone I'm not sure the first line is that scary if you can shut down big head.

I completely agree...
I'm not superstitious about many things, but this one qualifies.
Take care of Winnepeg first and be thrilled we get to play anyone in round 2.
I love the playoffs...best time of the year!

I absolutely disdain these threads. We aren't even close to winning. This isn't 3-0. It's 2-2. We haven't won a game at Winnipeg. Just to put into context. We are 2-12 in our last 14 against the Jets outside of playoffs. In playoffs we haven't won 1 game there yet. Can we not talk about who we would rather, especially from the series that probably has the top 2 teams in the West currently?Bubble4427 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 09:25 amI completely agree...

I used to be superstitious till i grew up and learned that no one involved in the game reads this and typing on a keyboard in St Louis currently in no way is going to affect a game played 1000 miles away in Winnipeg tomorrow.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 09:31 amI absolutely disdain these threads. So you are scared to look ahead? Don't live life in fear son. Its a message board. People talk about things like this all the time in every sport.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 09:31 amI absolutely disdain these threads. We aren't even close to winning. This isn't 3-0. Oh, and if the Blues dont make it? How does an opinion on this thread change anything? It's ok to make a bad prediction, its a message board nobody is 100% correct about everything.

Re: Colorado or Dallas
I've answered this stuff before. It has nothing to do with superstition. Was taught a long time ago to not look ahead. Apply, that logic to being a fan and it allows for much more enjoyable moments. When you live in the now you get to focus on the next game and make the most of that experience. After that game ends, and you get your reset. You get to start living for the next one and enjoy that one to the fullest. Looking for something off in the distance cheapens the moment. You can agree to disagree. But talking about something that never matriculates is wasted time and effort. Especially when there are unctrollables like us being fans. If the season was over, or your team was the hawks, perfect time to start looking to the future. But it's much better to ride the ride and get on the next one when the ride ends.Natl20 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 09:41 amI used to be superstitious till i grew up and learned that no one involved in the game reads this and typing on a keyboard in St Louis currently in no way is going to affect a game played 1000 miles away in Winnipeg tomorrow.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 09:31 amI absolutely disdain these threads. Re: Colorado or Dallas
I'd rather have Dallas due to the altitude issue.
There's going to be at least one game or possibly two where the altitude will absolutely effect the team and it's never good.
With Dallas no such issue.

Re: Colorado or Dallas
if we're riding the 2019 memories, it's gotta be dallas, right?
but this winnipeg series is a long way from being over. we obviously have to win one there, and that's a tall order.

Jinxer! Thanks a lot! You have just singlehandedly put the Kibosh on Jobu and Blues.Natl20 wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 09:41 amI used to be superstitious till i grew up and learned that no one involved in the game reads this and typing on a keyboard in St Louis currently in no way is going to affect a game played 1000 miles away in Winnipeg tomorrow.callitwhatyouwant wrote: ↑29 Apr 2025 09:31 amI absolutely disdain these threads. I hope you're happy.
Honestly, I think Dallas wants more revenge, but I agree with one of the replies you always have to account for the elevation when it comes to Colorado. So, I'd go with a preference for Dallas purely because of the altitude. Other than that, it's a coin flip.
Losing Game 1 hurts but the difference between Games 1&2 vs 3&4 is obviously, Blues were never out of it Winnipeg, and were leading most of Game 1. I think the Blues can win this series, but all depends on finishing early in Game 5. If the score is tied or they're down heading into the 2nd, ah who the h*ll knows... lol
