Changing my mind about this. I’ll be okay with singing if there’s a scene that recreates the time Yadi ripped off all his catchers gear in protest, only he’s belting out a Jennifer Hudson-style show stopper.

I think Bengie was very popular in SF for a time. Doubt there’s any Jose fan clubs out there though to your point.

Plus, LMM is a genius. Nobody could’ve predicted he could’ve made a rap musical about Alexander Hamilton work. But he did. You never know. This could be more specific franchise agnostic and be the next The Blind Side focusing on their journey to the MLB.
