I think I might have enjoyed this one more than game 3.
Of course it was exciting to kick their (donkey) after going down 2-0 in the series.
But coming into this one, I'm thinking it had to be a fluke for Helle and the Jets are going to do everything they can to put us back in our place.
And they come out and control the play and grab an early lead and then we are just like, "nope, not today," and we kicked their (donkey) again!
I think it's paying off that we had to claw until the last minute to even get here while they've been on cruise control for a month or more. They haven't seen adversity all year and that's all we've known.
Reminds me a bit of Turek and our boys unraveling in 2000.

That still stings.
The Jets are very fortunate not to be down 3-1, or toast. I had a suspicion the Blues would make some noise on home ice with benefit of line matchups but I certainly didn't see this coming. The boys had to prove what they are, had to defend home ice, and they did.
The next big hill to climb is winning a game in Winnipeg. Bear in mind the score is now 0-0. We can speculate all we want they CAN do it but they have to actually go up there and win the game. More great hockey coming!

Just got home from the game and checking this thread out. Funny first 5 pages or so. I know they got badly outshot in the first and their goal was on that ugly sustained O zone sequence but we had chances too. And then the neighbors tip, which looked awfully close to his stick being above the bar but all good.
I thought our D was so engaged again in a great way. Broberg had a terrific game moving the puck. CP55 looks healthy. Everyone back there plays so calm. It’s fun to watch.
The crowd was loud other than the lull in the first. The we want Connor chants were real and they were spectacular.
One other takeaway that really gives me hope. We were in both games there until the end. They were MIA here.

Does any other team have four d men who can skate and join the rush like ours?George Zipp wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 15:57 pm Just got home from the game and checking this thread out. Broberg was the only defenseman without a point.
