Hold the phone!
Wait a second, I thought that if by some miracle the Blues made the playoffs, no way they’d win 2 games???
Re: Hold the phone!
No matter what happens next they have exceeded my expectations. Not that I didn't think they could win 2 playoff games but the quality of play has been better than I expected.

If we’re being honest, you and everyone else in St Louis.
They looked totally cooked in January
Re: Hold the phone!
So much for the Blues being “outclassed.”

Ahem... not EVERYONE.

Re: Hold the phone!
This current Blues team looks hungrier than any in recent years except maybe the cup team.
Their play the last 2 months has been impressive.
LGB!!

Re: Hold the phone!
Have to win one in Winnipeg.
This has been an amazing season for the young guys however.
Now they have learned what it takes to win a playoff game, next is how to win a series.
If you can do that, this will go a longgggggggggggg way to becoming cup contenders.

Never thought they were cooked either.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 15:05 pmAhem... not EVERYONE.I was one of the few. Predicted close to 100 pts before the season started. Granted, I had my moments of doubt. Knowing it was a young team with a lot of new faces, I thought it would take till January before they started to put it together. I guess it took an extra month.
I'm a homer........that fat lady sings before i give up.
Had them 98 points pre and mid in mid season.
These guys are doing what many here thought they could do.

It’s one thing to make a preseason prediction, and if you still had faith mid season, then hats off! No question though they were lifeless for an extended perioddhsux wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 15:45 pmNever thought they were cooked either.blackinkbiz wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 15:05 pmAhem... not EVERYONE.I was one of the few. Re: Hold the phone!
I mean they never looked “cooked” they looked like a 7-10 team like most of us have been saying since the offer sheet boys. They stayed in that range the whole time. Inconsistent play sure. But never lack of effort. There were times this year where you just felt like they were on the wrong side of bad luck way too often for how they were playing.
That being said 2 wins vs the jets without Hollywood seemed like a long shot. So the vibes right now I had 0 prediction for. I thought it was going to require us to take that game 1. So far the blues have easily outplayed the jets for 8 of the 12 periods.

Re: Hold the phone!
So losing two games by one goal (yes, I know 5-3 but one was an ENG) is being outclassed? If it weren't for some VERY fortunate bounces in games 1 and 2, we may have left the Peg with a split.desertrat23 wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 16:43 pmThey were outclassed in the first two games. They outclassed Winnipeg in the next two.

If not for the bounces, maybe this series is over today.SRV1990 wrote: ↑27 Apr 2025 16:53 pmSo losing two games by one goal (yes, I know 5-3 but one was an ENG) is being outclassed?
