I understand Tucker hasn't been great, but I also understand the decision to play him ahead of Suter starting with game 3. After dropping the first two, if this was going to be a quick out, might as well let the kids play.
Now that we have some life again, we are definitely going to need Suter again at some point.
That second period is the kind of period where, they might have to trade Hellebuyck in the offseason for the biggest haul they can get. Jets aren't winning anything with this pumpkin and it has fully sunk in with every single one of their fans after that period.

Not kidding when I say I've seen 8u goalies better at puck handling than the great overrated hellesuck
Helley is just so slow handling the puck. He skates slow and seemingly has no urgency like all the opposing team is backing off.
Usually when a guy is this bad at it (remember Husso?), they just dont bother with it except on the most routine plays.
Its as if Hellebyuck actually thinks he's helping...
Whoever called Binner the anti Hellebyuck was spot on.
Well yeah, he’s the “best goalie in the league” who’s big stage losing to Binnington for the second time in the span of three months.
Mentally he has to be collapsing watching Binner have the impact he’s having and himself struggling to even stop anything higher than two feet off the ice.

I disagree. The only way we “need” Suter is possibly because of injuries. He can’t clear the puck to save his life. IF he does, he usually ices it. We sure have played much better without him in this series.

Agreed. But Tucker has done everything asked and then some. Not only the goal and multiple chances, but the smarts to draw the penalty and walk away from Lowry. Unless/until he regresses, he should be a fixture on the 3rd pair.

Meanwhile, Binnington is Mr. Cool on the other end. Just that chip he does to the corner is so good at getting the Blues out of the zone quickly. He's not just looking to make the save. He makes the save and the chip all in 1 motion. And, of course, his stick handling behind the net is 2nd to none.
After the 4-Nations, Binny is in Hellebuyuk’s head.

Well I was kind of more thinking if we survive into the next round, someone is going to be banged up at some point so it seems like he'll get back in there eventually.

I like to picture Binny sitting down there doing the "Connor!" chant along with the crowd

They just extended him, and the whole league saw Binner steal his lunch money at worlds, and will assume the same here if the Blues advance.
What haul? They'll be lucky if they can swap him for someone else's reclamation project. Maybe Gibson lol.
