From a coaching perspective, Blues coach Jim Montgomery understands what's happening out there, but winning in the fashion and style they did on Wednesday makes you eager to jump right back out there.

"You don’t mind the two days because you know the energy level for both teams -- but I’m just worried about my team -- is going to be sky high because you have a lot of time to recuperate and recover," Montgomery said. "At the same time, sometimes when you win a game like we did, you want to get right back at it because you have that momentum and that attitude. The more time between games, the more it dissipates.

"The bruises do get better and that’s why the energy level, I think that might be why we have the heaviest hits by a lot, I think in this series. You have a little more juice in the tank."

Going to be interesting to see how these teams come out and are able to perform their game plans.

I think we know the Blues plan....rinse and repeat and be all over them.

Will the Jets counter in the same fashion or try to go back to their game 1&2 more of a control the ice game plan?

I think both teams realize their respective fortunes are more than likely tied to this game.

Only one change is expected - Mathieu Joseph is likely to return to the lineup, replacing Alexandre Texier on the third line.

“Just sometimes you have a gut feel, on it’s going to be more of a checking game,” Montgomery said of the change. “(Joseph) does a lot of penalty killing for us, so just another weapon in our arsenal.”

Ryan Suter did not play in Game 3 and, at least judging from Saturday’s practice, is also not expected to be in for Game 4.

“Certain elements of our D-corps that I was looking for, I thought other d-men had the attributes that fit the style of game that we wanted to play better,” Montgomery said of Suter not playing in Game 3. “We figured it was going to be a long series all along, so I said to ‘Mojo’ and I said to ‘Sutes,’ when you come out (of the lineup), it’s not done for you this series. You’re going to get back in.’”

Let's hope the boys had an early night last night. These day games are usually not good. They need a solid start and a couple of early goals.

Day games are the absolute worst. Especially when they're this early. Athletes are creatures of habit. And the Blues do not have a good track record of playing well in these games, unless of course it's the outdoor classic blah blah game.

They played their A game against a top team in the playoffs, dominating physically and on skill and winning the game, immediately stomping out any opponent momentum at every turn. That is a milestone in the turnaround but they have more ahead.

This game is huge. It would be another milestone to play back to back A games in the playoffs. The Cup is won by a string of A games.

what they should do is put Suter back in and take Leddy out. he has NOT been good so far

Suter may be worn down a bit after playing the whole season at his age. I think he will play again in this series.

I do agree with you but I think they had 1 or 2 early games during the winning streak that went pretty well. Maybe they've finally figured it out (fingers crossed)!!

Relentless hard offensive hockey. Urgency to get back on defense.
Fowler, Faulk, Parayko, and Broberg joining the rushes at every opportunity.
Celebrate with Jobu.
