So I guess Arenado's WAR went up by 2.0 the last 2 games

Nah, but he certainly played a pivotal role in winning the last 2 games with his defense and then his bat. Maybe his value will go up enough he is actually wanted at the deadline.

On the other hand, Helsley's value is on the decline of late. Where are the Ks? And 2 blown saves already in 6 chances? And I'm not seeing 100+ mph pitches, either.

You should check out WPA (win probability added). Far superior to WAR in actually factoring in true game changing moments.

I wouldn't be in a hurry to deal NADO unless the return is solid.

NO WAY I want to see him dumped for little in return just so BDWJr can stuff more cash into he and his partners pockets.

Agreed but that lowered salary also makes him more attractive. If we kick in like 10 million he could fetch some decent prospects.
