Do you really think they would trade Walker
I'm totally against it. Beyond that, does anyone think that is the note Mozeliak will walk out on? He's spent all this time trying (too hard or not hard enough) to leave on a good note in his final stand. Is he going to risk having Walker be the final player on his record to go blossom with another organization? Just trading him in the first place would be an admission to the complete failure in handling him for the past 2 years.
It's April 24th. Neither the organization nor the fans can make their mind up on what the purpose of this season even is. I thought it was about the future. And April 24th is the time to make a final disclosure on a former #2 prospect?

No way mo makes a trade like that on the way out the door. Helsley, fedde, Arenado, yes. Not the young guys. He’ll let bloom handle it

Re: Do you really think they would trade Walker
The lack of historically stupid trades recently indicates Mozeliak no longer has the authority to make trades on his own.
Re: Do you really think they would trade Walker
At this point Walker is what he probably is close to what he will ever be
He will get a little better with more experience in the years to come but nothing super star or even above mlb average
His pitch recognition just sadly just isn’t improving a lot
A little better than last year but then he starts chasing again

Little trade value? He has zero trade value. Just another bust.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑24 Apr 2025 16:39 pm+1 it would be dumb to trade him now. He may end up going the way of Dylan Carlson but it would be dumb to trade him now when he has vet little trade value

I am against trading Walker.
I refuse to believe he isn't as talented as I hoped.
Let him play.

I hope you're right but he hasn't changed anything at the platecardsfaninla wrote: ↑24 Apr 2025 22:19 pm I am against trading Walker.

After this season, yes he will be on the trading block
I don’t see a breakout from Walker he is too easy to pitch too
Hard in and soft away
Only a handful of dudes 6’6” and up are successful MLB hitters

I'm not going to say zero chance but unlikely. IF Walker is traded it will be with Bloom's approval.

Yes. Sooner or later. He needs to hit to remain relevant.
Re: Do you really think they would trade Walker
Fast tracking him to the big team has really worked against him. He really needed an extra year in the minors.

I'm not giving up hope on him. Yadi hit .216 in his third year in the majors. After that in his career he had 6 seasons hitting .290 or better. Walker is 22 years old. He'll get smarter at the plate.
