I called it 4 years ago

I said Dylan Carlson will never be a ball player and I got laughed at and scoofed off the web. I am here to call it again. Jordan Walker will never, never, ever be a ball player. Period!!

No improvement whatsoever except for his defense, at the plate he's a "meh".

Hopefully C. Bloom can find a sucker, errrrrrrrr POBO/GM who'll give him something of value for him this offseason.

I'm done w/J. Walk (and getting close to feeling the same about N. Gorman too).

They need to sit him down and play Burly or Saggese in the OF. Burly could play LF and Noot RF. Saggese could DH.

Not just Carlson or Walker. Last several years, very little from the minors.

I know he's been mishandled his first 2 years, but an OPS just above .600 last year and currently below even that?

Can't keep making excuses for him. He needs to be better. And soon. He's being out hit by the (bleep) backup catchers.

I know you're a knowledgeable guy that has been following baseball for years. You know as well as me Walker is JAG. There is nothing about his game that stands out. You would know if there was by now.

Walker is 23. Team is going nowhere. Let the kid play and don't make a hasty decision.

Maybe he flops. Maybe he doesn't. But he needs a year of playing every day before we do anything.

+1 the team isnt going anywhere this season especially with oli at the helm let him play for the full season and see where he is at.

It's hard to understand why people don't get that. We were barely 500 last year. We let guys walk. We added no one. We aren't going anywhere. These guys are going to play the whole season. At the end of the year, see what's worth keeping.

Absolutely. And again, I think that the front office brought this on themselves by refusing to admit that they were going to have a rebuild year when they're clearly in a rebuild year. But, yes, even if he's this bad the rest of the year, they have to start him. They can't afford another being sent up and down and not being allowed to get right, if that's possible, at the MLB level.

It’s the theme of this board. Tear down our prospects and gripe you want them dumped as they are no good. Then when a different organization takes them and lets them have time to develop into stars they slam the Cardinals for not being patient and giving them a chance.

Not sure what anyone gets out of gloating that a Cardinal failed. I have raised the concerns about Mo and the direction of this team since Nov 2014. I don’t take pride in being right, I find it frustrating I was correct as it means we have this mess. I don’t see a path to success for Baker. I want him to prove me wrong and become a star.

But I guess I am suppose to be throwing a one person parade as I saw this mess coming 11 years ago as the OP threw himself a parade for having Carlson pinned as a bust.
