One good thing about the electronic strike zone
The wide strike zone in these getaway games will disappear. It's asinine to have this happen.

I think it would provide more offense in the long run.

It would provide consistency. I refused to watch Glavine and Greg Maddux with the wide strike zone they got.

And with consistency more offense. I'm thinking a lot more.ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑23 Apr 2025 14:12 pmIt would provide consistency. I refused to watch Glavine and Greg Maddux with the wide strike zone they got.

That remains to be seen but at least if would level the playing field. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. You might see some overpaid, aging veteran players struggle.11WSChamps wrote: ↑23 Apr 2025 14:15 pmAnd with consistency more offense. I'm not smart enough to know these things but I wonder if from park to park and would weather conditions have any effect on the strike dimensions?
Just curious if those are some of the reasons why it hasn't been implemented yet?

Re: One good thing about the electronic strike zone
My reading on the topic was they kept adjusting the electronic zone in the minors and then gave it a try again in spring training to further refine it. It is long overdue.11WSChamps wrote: ↑23 Apr 2025 14:24 pmInteresting discussion.ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑23 Apr 2025 14:20 pmThat remains to be seen but at least if would level the playing field.
