Bumbles and UniKKKorn split duties at DH and spelling people in the field. Winn, Saggese, Nado, WillyCon is your infield every day with bumbleKKKorn rotating thru
That becomes an interesting debate.
Choosing between Which backup DH/1B to keep.
BD is a LH option to WC and probably a better 1B than WC but how often will WC really set
and that LH bat at the DH actually can take time from Gorman at DH.
If I'm trading one, as part of a package, it's Bumbles
Agree.
Without knowing the behind-the-scenes stuff of future plans, even then probably.

AB is a contact hitter disguised as a XBH that can't be true to his real self for
fear that his MLB career would be over. IMO. He's a backup plan according
to his production. We he improve.

I can’t believe they would send Saggese down.
But....who the hell knows?
I would send Baker down myself. Saggese is Baker and much more as a RH bat.
Baker has more raw power but he has 0 HR’s.
If they send Burly down because they have Gorman and want to keep another RH bat fine!
If they send Siani down ok also but his defense and base running could be a bigger help?

Would Cards consider trading Winn?

Not due to Saggese, at least IMO.
JJ, others maybe.
It'd be a large chip.

Saggese is easy.
MO's wheelhouse.

also easily changed as he's the first guy up in most situations.

To me Baker has hit better than I thought he would.
Decent plate discipline and contact rate.
Draws his share of walks.
However......his edge in raw power has not been there. And he is basically useless in the field.
Outside of having less raw power Saggese is superior in every other way.

Had that been him making that throw to 1st base last night at 95 MPH instead of Donny's weaker throw, then Riley would've been out instead of safe after replay and wouldn't have scored the tying run.

Winn's bazooka would've nailed him.
On that specific play he probably charges the ball better to not need his full bazooka.
BD was waiting on that last hop.

I'm not complaining about BD's glove, just think he's closer to average/solid with it than some
do.

No way I would trade Winn. I could see a JJ/3b; Winn; Saggese; Herera infield 2 years from now.

No disagreement here.

I'd keep Saggese over 3 1B period. That's before knowing the SS has a bad back, There's a 2B with a bad back.
a 2B that moonlights as the teams 3rd or 4th OFer. There's a 3B who could set a day a week.
That 2 of the 1B really aren't versatile for other things.

I believe he was sick, Scouty. I have no idea if his Hamstring had the runs, too. ::crazya::

Do you think Noot will be here in 2 years? So, you're sold on Scott?
JJ? Idk. I believe it was a stomach bug. Hoping for the best.

Totally agree!
And if Saggese can play SS I’m sure he could play 1B better than Baker?
Wonder if they try Saggese in LF?
Not a biggie as if you want to sit Noot vs. a tough LH Donovan can play LF!
