So I Married an Axe Murderer

Post by Harry York 37 »

I rewatched it on Pluto.
Mike Myers near the beginning of his film career.
Has any comedic film had so many, perfect, cameos by monster comedians?

Alan Arkin
Charles Grodin
Steven Wright
Michael Richards
Phil Hartman

And more.

Its a classic. Would have liked to have seen more fundamental domestic comedy work from him (think of a latter-day Bob Hope or Woody Allen). Nancy Travis, to me, is quite fetching, in her own rather uniquely beautiful way.

My favorite line from the movie. Such an underrated gem, loved it.

MM is evid. a hard guy to work with. He and this director weren't on speaking terms by half-way through the production. He DID significantly alter the screenplay from the original, but did not get a writing credit, which seems like an injustice.

I wish, as said, he'd made more of these, I guess, goofy rom-coms.
