Mental Note: It's hard to score a goal when you have look for your teeth on the ice.
I imagine that the Blues are drawing straws about who has to carry the puck out at this point.

Stanley was drafted 18 overall.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025 08:12 am Wasnt Stanley drafted mid to late 1st round? How the heck can he be effective then?????
Thomas was drafted 20 overall.
Kryou was drafted 35 overall.
NHL Math:
18 > (20 + 35)
Never fear, however. Armstrong gets his guys in trades. For next year, we will have a 6'2" 35-year-old tough guy to be our Stanley for 10 years with a NTC.
I just placed my order for my next Blues Jersey. It will be "StanleyNevich"

7 goals is a pretty good answer for Stanley.
Suck it Stanley!

Stanley (and Schenn) are the main physical presence for the Jets.
They also have severe limitations, being its relatively easy to skate past them.
They can definitely impact the game, but I'd much rather talk about Stanley being a problem then say Morrissey.
Physical players shine in the post season.
I would also say we are winning the physical battle (across the 3 games).

Did everyone see the Hagel hit on Barkov? It was Kadri-esque but not quite a 10 on the animalistic visciousness scale. Keep an eye out for reports on Barkov, he may be out.
Blues-Jets has been an intense physical series but so far I think all the soldiers are standing. Stanley crossed the line from physicality to thuggery, wouldn't mind seeing him sit a game.

Do we though? Guy skates around and hits people. Cool. So do many hockey players. Sure he's a giant on skates but what has he done this series. He's got 0 points playing 12 minutes a night. He's plus 1 so kudos to him on that. 28 PM, including many last night where he totally lost his mind. And I'm not a true student of the game like many that post here but it sure seems like he's easy to get around.
If you read the Jets HF boards at all, especially last night, he and Schenn are the whipping boys of the moment for whatever that one is worth as well.

Hes only credited with 7 hits, 12+ TOI heck Buchy has 7 hits. Now if Stanley was drafted higher, say top 5 then he'd be more of a worry
