Molina within a month
Here is the easy out for Cards management.
Couldn’t win on the road.
We have someone that will put butts in the seats, can manage the game from a catchers view and will hold players accountable.
Welcome coach Molina!!!

He will be despised as all managers are on this forum.

Winning isn't a priority in 2025. May not be in 2026. Oli is safe this year.

LOL
I remember being on a different forum when TLR was Manager.
And he was second guessed all the time!
Goes with the job but most knew he was good.
I soured on Matheny as the team struggled fundamentally.
Thought he was too easy on the players.
Probably not that unusual for a former player.
But I always liked and respected him as a person.
Marmol? Sorry but I don’t respect him at all and he is clearly in over his head.
Compared to Oli......Matheny belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Managers!

After an extremely brief honeymoon period, no one will be going to Busch to watch Molina manage. That's silly.bluecard04 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025 06:22 am Here is the easy out for Cards management.

What I find facinating is the coaches and managers on the international and US teams.
You have Skip as a bench coach, who seems to be available
Pujols
Molina
Ron Darling in-game (while facing the Mets) spoke to the graphic that was smack dabbed on Marmol stating 2022 NL Central Champs. He mentioned it's been a long time for the Cardinals to be great or something to that effect and literally pivoted right into all the managers that have experience now. It was almost his way of foreshadowing a move.
I read into things to much, self admitted, but it was very unique how he delivered that message and even expanded upon it in-game.

Re: Molina within a month
Would he get a standing O every time he brings out the lineup card?

Re: Molina within a month
My guess is if Oli is let go this season that Jon Jay would be named interim manager and Bloom selects his choice next year
Re: Molina within a month
This thread is laughable.
Re: Molina within a month
molina wold make no difference in the performance of the cards and lets be honest nobody goes to a game to see the manager...I still remember all the calls to fire shildtbluecard04 wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025 06:22 am Here is the easy out for Cards management.

I can believe that they'll leave Oli and place this season regardless of record to be the public pinata. However, there is no way in hell Bloom isn't going to pick his own manager for 2026JuanAgosto wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025 06:39 am Winning isn't a priority in 2025. May not be in 2026. Oli is safe this year.

Molina was a great player. No evidence he can manage. He should have agreed to take a job in the organization managing in the minors or player development or something.

Not entirely accurate. There is evidence he CAN manage.ScotchMIrish wrote: ↑22 Apr 2025 09:17 am Molina was a great player. No evidence he can manage. He should have agreed to take a job in the organization managing in the minors or player development or something.
Molina's managerial experience includes:
Criollos de Caguas: Led the team to the title in the 2023-24 season in his native Puerto Rico.
Team Puerto Rico: Managed the national team in the 2023 World Baseball Classic and is expected to do so again in 2026.
Navegantes del Magallanes: Managed in the Venezuelan Winter League during the 2022-23 season.
Águilas Cibaeñas: Currently the manager of the Dominican Winter League team.
Now, I'm not advocating for or against Yadi...but...he does have managerial experience.
