Hard to get a goal when not shooting. The speed of the playoffs is just too much for him.

I think he needs to stop watching the puck and tie up Conner so he can’t score the GWG.

Buchnevich needs to be another teams problem. Hes far too unreliable and emotional to be a cornerstone of a top line. We need to realize that and move on asap.

Pavel Buchnevich is signed to a 6 year, $48,000,000 contract extension with a cap hit of $8,000,000 per season. He currently plays for the St. Louis Blues. His contract was signed on July 2, 2024 for the 2025-26 season and expires at the end of the 2030-31 season, when Buchnevich will be 36 years old.WilliamWestcliffe wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025 21:40 pm Buchnevich needs to be another teams problem. I'd recommend buying a jersey that has about 6 more years of life left in it, and put a big long hypenated name on the back.
"Armstrong-Buchnevich"
Everyone will think you are ASOGG, so be careful that you don't get shot in a back alley.

Re: Buchnevich needs to score
Buchnevich created their only goal tonight. Drew the penalty and made a sweet pass to Snuggerud to give him all the time in the world to let it rip.
He is the leading score among our forwards.
He played the most minutes, in all situations, of any forward except Thomas.
He is the most dependable guy on our top line right now.

Re: Buchnevich needs to score
He had a PP touch. Great
He also was the biggest factor in the GWG
Zero goals. Maybe when he’s 31?

Re: Buchnevich needs to score
We would have been shut out except for Buch.
There would have been no power play and Snuggerud would mever have gotten a chance to try and make up for the goal against he caused.
Buch was in the wrong place when a bang bang play pinballed off the net right to the tape of a Jet stick.
It was two of the best forwards in the Western Conference.
Few forwards would have broken that up..
Thomas looks like he is passing for laughs.
Snuggerud is not yet dependable.
Kyrou has turtled up.
You could make a case that Buch is our most valuable forward.
That ain’t saying a lot.
But it says you are barking up the wrong tree.
Re: Buchnevich needs to score
He made a choice, left a man (a sniper) and the pass went right through him.
Be objective. He was terrible tonight. A cross ice pass on a pp is all you have.
Re: Buchnevich needs to score
He created the penalty that led to the PPG, didn’t he? Then on the gwg isn’t it Thomas who loses his man? Objectively that is?
Re: Buchnevich needs to score
He doesn’t need to score for a couple more years.
If he gets one at 32 the 8 mil per will be money well spent.

Re: Buchnevich needs to score
A lot of people here pointing out little things that Buch did to contribute to Snugs’ goal. I mean ok great but an $8 million player that stuff is a given. The money is for him to create. To score. To be a difference maker every night. To be one of the guys that consistently comes through in big situations. To play in all situations and excel both offensively and defensively every single night.
He has not showed any ability to be that guy this year or in any prior year. He is absolutely someone I would move if a deal was able to be made.

Think that SCUD missile that hit him at blue line affected ice time?LGB73 wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025 12:16 pmThat's ridiculous. No reason for an uproven rookie getting more ice time than our leading goal scorer.theograce wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025 11:13 amSnugger had more ice in game 1. Would really like to see Kyrou playing at least 17Harry S Deals wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025 07:52 am On the plus side how about a shout out to Kyrou
Last 13 playoff games 10pts, 8 goals. Kid is coming on strong

He was floating around last night and was awful defensively.
It was vintage Kyrou 2023. He was noticeably timid after the hit. I can't say that I blame him...but he needs to get over it for game 3

Re: Buchnevich needs to score
Buchnevich is our most productive player among the forwards. Thomas is minus four and passe like he doesn't careor is injured. Snuggy has great talent, but is a child in a man's game- there is hope for him, it is all so new at this level. Schenn is hitting like crazy but that is all. Kyrou has withdrawn into a shell of what he had become. Neighbours needs a playmaker and no one is stepping up.
I can't help you if that isn't enough.
I fear your ideas of offensive production are...either naive or driven by some agenda that has little to do with playing ice hockey. He sure ain't pretty, he always looks grimpy, and he is, often, in the shadow of Thomas. But....
No one on this team has more consistent offensive production as a Blue... than Buchnevich.
