If there's one thing St. Louis Blues fans should have learned by now about the 2024-25 team is that one loss won't make or break this group.
"Overall, I liked our game for the majority of it.," Blues coach Jim Montgomery said. "You’re up 3-2 with 10 minutes left in the third (period) and we didn’t prevail, so we’ve got to grow and learn from that. I think a lot of guys got some valuable experience in their first NHL playoff game. They’ll be significantly better, and I still think we have a lot of guys that have experience that maybe weren’t at the top of their game yesterday for us and they’ll be better."

This makes sense to me - while I would suggest that last minute goals have been problematic for the Blues this season, they're young player mistakes. The penalties in the game by Bolduc and Neighbours should have never happened - those are what young players do though. I don't like those mistakes, and I think they could have won that game, but its part of a learning process.

I believe it was the Neighbors penalty with the slash that happens like 40 times/games. Good point, as much as I've liked watching Bolduc this seasin, his penalty was definitely more bone headed. Neighbours was a bit more officiating.skilles wrote: ↑21 Apr 2025 18:24 pmI believe it was the Neighbors penalty with the slash that happens like 40 times/games.
