Who knows? If he can't play everyday, why would he be on the team? I mean, had Nado accepted the trade to Houston, wouldn't the Cards have handed third to Gorman?Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 15:10 pmWould his back even allow it? He has that chronic back injury from deadlifting in 2020.Monsieur De Treville wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 15:09 pmI have to believe if he were playing third every day he would be better than when he plays there's once every two weeks.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑20 Apr 2025 15:06 pm Imagine if Moe got his way and Gorman started at 3rd 145 games?

After 2-0 count on Soto , several managers would have called for ‘free walk’ there..load them up and take your chance with next batter.
You are risking one of the biggest stars in baseball to break open the game.
There is only one at bat left for Cards. You are 2 runs down with only 9th inning left.
Call it 29/29 hindsight but after 2-0 count, I give him the free pass.
What you say ?
Keep pitching to onr if biggest stars in game or take your chance with next guy.

No he wouldn't. That woyld be dumb. But he would send him down because he is still a young MLB pitcher who needs a reset at a lower stress level. He pitchhed well last year. You dont just DFA young pitchers tne fiest time they struggle.

He's the bestest backup C in MLB history! That's what I've been told by some on CT.
