Fewest wins to make post season.

Post by sikeston bulldog2 »

Good morning.

82-80 Padres. 2005. Who were swept 3-0 by Cards.
83-79 Cardinals. Fewest wins to ever win WS in a full year.
84-78 5 teams.
85-77. Padres

So no team with less than 82 wins has made post season. No .500 teams or below .500 teams.

That’s the first objective, win 82. Second make post season. Third win post season games.

Learning moment- In the 2006 WS, the Tigers pitchers made an error in every game. Thanx boys.pay back.

Learning moment- Cardinals never lead a complete inning in the 2004 sweep.

Enjoy.

That 2006 series was awesome. Rainy nights and David Eckstein going crazy! It was such a fun and unexpected series.
In fact that entire post season was amazing. The nlcs vs the Mets was awesome with great heroics from unexpected players. The nlds vs SD was memorable for me back then in SoCal.

Seems like a long time ago.

Better baseball days...

These days I am just desperate for the Cards to avoid another sweep.....

Almost 20 years. Padres. Then epic Mets series. The Waino K. Then Tigers.
