Proof how pathetic Mo is. No DH. No player that can replace the automatic out of Burleson or Gorman for that matter.

...Alonzo gives Mets a little insurance...and almost certain to make Liberatore's fine outing resulting in a loss...

He three 23 pitches that inning and hit a batter on the 23 rd. He was tiring and the manager wanted to get out of the inning. It may seem crazy but the Mets are trying to win the game.
I disagree that he HAD to come out.
My answer was earlier to 12xu.
Read it.
I'm just an old school fart that would like to see the starters go deeper in games.
I understand them taking him out .

Still no real DH , and he hired the Moran manager who didn’t make the swap.

They never took the DH position seriously.

IMO you gotta hit Walker for Burly there even though you know they'd counter with a RH pitcher

That wasn’t going to be a 2-run single. Maybe an infield single at best. But beyond stupid to swing at the first pitch when Minter was so wild.

+1 and beyond stupid to let burly hit in that situation because he doesn’t like walks and can’t hit leftiesstlboiler23 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2025 17:28 pmThat wasn’t going to be a 2-run single. Maybe an infield single at best. But beyond stupid to swing at the first pitch when Minter was so wild.

Bases loaded. If that gets thru two runs score, right?stlboiler23 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2025 17:28 pmThat wasn’t going to be a 2-run single. Maybe an infield single at best. But beyond stupid to swing at the first pitch when Minter was so wild.
