The Tigers finish 3rd in the NCAA Championship, behind Oklahoma and UCLA and ahead of Utah. A very decent season, considering that Oklahoma and UCLA have a combined 14 national titles and Utah another 9. Hopefully lots of young athletes have Mizzou on their radar now and the staff has a great recruiting summer. I'd love to see Helen Hu on the US Olympic team but at 24 years of age, she may, oddly, be a bit too old for the usual teenaged munchkin squad.
Congratulations Lady Tigers!

Re: National Champion in the house
I just spent 30 minutes educating myself on the Olympics verse NCAA and it seems those were historically mutually exclusive groups for the most part. Teenage gymnasts normally make a decision around 12-13 if they want to go all in for the olympics. If they chose olympics, they train 30-50yrs per week, become home schooled, and move away from home to do full time training. It then when they become young adults around 18 then two pools merges back together and NCAA aged gymnasts can then still try to make the Olympic team. Last year’s female gymnast team were 50-50 repeat performers from the 2020 olympics so half were college gymnasts with the other half being newbies (except Biles).edwin drood wrote: ↑19 Apr 2025 18:16 pm I'd love to see Helen Hu on the US Olympic team but at 24 years of age, she may, oddly, be a bit too old for the usual teenaged munchkin squad.
