FanDuel broadcast early review
I'm am surprisingly pleased with the FanDuel broadcast. The picture and audio is clean. I hope Sweeney stays in the booth with Chip long term. Just easier to listen to.
I'm using the app. I have not seen a single ED commercial. I haven't seen a gambling one either. I thought we would get pummeled.
The app broadcasts a "We'll be right back" sign with zen white noise during some of the commercial time. Makes for a more pleasant experience.
I don't think the app allows recording games to watch later. That would be my one criticism so far.
What have been your experience so far? If you signed up through Amazon Prime, is the difference? Also are you forced more commercials if you are getting broadcast through another provider? Just curious.

Re: FanDuel broadcast early review
Only two complaints thus far.
I get Fanduel thru my DirecTV package. In the first weekend , when game ended , the postgame show did not come on .. screen went black .
I contacted FanDuel thru computer asking if this was glitch in transmitting or what . They were not sure why did not get postgame feed (BTW I asked on CT if those in St louis market got it they said YES I live in Tenn. ))
After that it has been on every time.
The other issue is that the pregame feed sometimes doesn't appear til 2 min. after the start time. Like today 12:30 pregame didn't start on my screen til 12:32 Anyone else have that issue ?

If anybody in the booth ever said anything even mildly entertaining I’d probably [shirt] my pants. Other than that it’s fine I guess ? Sweeney is ok in the sense that as someone born without a personality he’s powered through and succeeded despite his disability. I never liked jimmy ballgame but at least his doucheiness made me feel something. BT needs to develop a drinking problem and bring it into work.

I bought the app after dumping Spectrum.
Works perfectly except as mentioned you need to give the pre-game a couple minutes before it comes up due to being on a delay.

I don't watch on tv because I can't stand DH baseball but I do listen to games on the radio. I'd prefer to see the cards replicate the Hughes/Santo dynamic where Hughes was exclusively play by play and Santo exclusively analyst. Rooney is much better at play by play. Significant drop off to Horton and Claiborne doing play by play - they are better used in the analyst role. Not a criticism of Horton and Claiborne but Rooney is clearly one of the best at play by play.

I'm signed with Amazon Prime. I think those "zen" breaks are because they haven't found enough sponsors yet. Just a guess on my part though.RunSup wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025 20:31 pm I'm am surprisingly pleased with the FanDuel broadcast. The picture and audio is clean. I HAVE been amused by the Chevrolet commercials with the Cincy skyline and the request that I visit my Cincinnati area Chevy dealer. Those I can't quite figure out. (I'm here in St. Louis)
Til this season I've been watching some games on my laptop using a pirate feed. I got spoiled listening to the other team's announcers. I wish I still had that choice. Our guys talk too much. I'm watching the game, I don't need endless jabbering, often about something inane. I always enjoy hearing the Mets' guys. Low key, witty and knowledgeable. Hernandez, Darling and Cohen. THREE guys and they don't seem to annoy as much as any two of ours.

I stand corrected. The Cincinnati commercial is for Fords. Just saw it again while watching the game.Ordinary Man wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025 13:24 pmI'm signed with Amazon Prime. This drives me nuts. Especially when I still miss the first pitch of an inning even though there was no commercial being played. Don't get me wrong, it's still better than commercials.RunSup wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025 20:31 pm I'm am surprisingly pleased with the FanDuel broadcast. The picture and audio is clean. I would prefer the ballpark cam showing the players warming up between innings.

The app gives access to the Spanish broadcast. I may flip to that and work on learning another language.Ordinary Man wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025 13:24 pmI'm signed with Amazon Prime. Hope Sweeny continues as well. He had indicated that doing a ton of games like Brad does would be a grind for him .RunSup wrote: ↑13 Apr 2025 20:31 pm I'm am surprisingly pleased with the FanDuel broadcast. Sweeny’s deal is for 40 games thi year.. some analyst with chip the others pre and post game studio.
I am guessing with the positive reviews FanDuel must be hearing that in 2026 the expand his games.
Hi from 40 to 60 would be well received… a 50% boost
Depends on what he sees as doable workload.

In my opinion, Fan Duel needs a RESUME FROM LAST WATCHED option.
Re: FanDuel broadcast early review
