Honest questions about what is and isn't allowed on the forum. There was a post earlier about Brad Thompson. The OP compared Brad's delivery to a well known politician. It seemed to be more humorous than mean-spirited. But the thread was locked by the moderator for being political.

A separate thread about Jackie Robinson had replies that did invoke politics. However, that thread remains open.

So do threads get locked if a politician is named? And it's ok to drop political references if no name is attached? Or does it all boil down to which political party is the subject?

Again, not stirring the pot. Just want to know for future reference.

The best way to raise concerns about specific posts is to use the tools of the forum to report those posts, and then explain why you are reporting it.
That being said, I have now moderated the political posts from the Robinson thread.
