Demidov and Hutson
The Canadiens like the Note have accelerated their rebuild. Demidov and Hutson are going to be scary. Plenty of capspace. You wonder if Hughes makes a move for a fa like Marner or deals one of his d prospects like Reinbacher.

Re: Demidov and Hutson
Reinbacher has to be thrilled at the arrival of those guys. Hutson as a young stud defenseman to lessen the pressure and Demidov as a promising young Russian forward who will ease the fan frustration at passing on Michkov.IsDurbanodoingtime wrote: ↑16 Apr 2025 18:31 pm The Canadiens like the Note have accelerated their rebuild. IMO Demidov should have been a Hawk.

The St. Louis Blues have won 52.1 percent of the time since 2020-21.
The Montreal Canadiens have won 38.3 percent of the time since 2020-21.
Pay close attention, Blues Fans. Montreal has won 1 FEWER game out of every 10 than St Louis since 2020.
For that little amount of "TANKING", Montreal fans will now be enjoying Demidov and Hutson for 10 years+.
But like it was with Ovechkin, you can see the best NHL players once or twice a year when they visit.

Yes it was the tanking that got them a 62nd overall pick.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025 09:13 am The St. Louis Blues have won 52.1 percent of the time since 2020-21.

Meanwhile, with the 45th overall pick, Doug Armstrong selects Scott Perunovich, and then it takes him 8 years to determine that he is not an NHL hockey player. Re: Demidov and Hutson
this bot can't even get it's narrative right. Talking about the 62nd pick. if we are taking 62nd picks as the metric for tanking. Seems like the Blues got a haul in the last few years. Snuggs, dvorsky, Stenberg, Lindstein, jiricek, ralph, fischer all taken before pick 62. Those are just in the last 3 years. Blues definitely won the tank game.bluetunehead wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025 10:09 amYes it was the tanking that got them a 62nd overall pick.a smell of green grass wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025 09:13 am The St. Louis Blues have won 52.1 percent of the time since 2020-21.

And I think that 2023 draft is going to be a game changer. Whether the players come up with the Blues or are used as assets to solidify the team.

Re: Demidov and Hutson
that 23 draft seemingly is all home runs. lots of hype around dvorsky stenberg lindstein stancl and pekarcik. Burns is having a good year in the O, but it's hard to tell defensively how that ever translates from that league. still too early. It's easy to see guys lighting up the scoreboard on offense and if they do something around half that in the AHL, you know they will belong.somni wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025 10:32 amGotta add Colton Parayko too: 3rd round, 86th overall, 2012Harry S Deals wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025 10:23 amBut yet:netboy65 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025 10:19 amShow us on this doll where Army hurt youa smell of green grass wrote: ↑17 Apr 2025 10:15 amMeanwhile, with the 45th overall pick, Doug Armstrong selects Scott Perunovich, and then it takes him 8 years to determine that he is not an NHL hockey player. Anyways I know he's injured but zach dean had decent things going for him until this year. He would have been knocking at the door if he wasn't injured. Hopefully he's not one of those guys that never gets healthy because 2 injuries in year is brutal. He has potential.
