.. and doesn't think too much of the Blues' chances.
“Winnipeg is going to play the second wild card. Not that there’s an easy path, but you don’t have to get chunks taken out of you in a real hard, first-round matchup like Dallas and Colorado or Tampa Bay and Florida. Two really good teams are going to get knocked out of the first round of the playoffs while the team that goes on is also going to have chunks taken out of them.”
I would surmise that this is already on the Blues' bulletin board ...
I can just see Monty pulling the WTF line aside and showing this to them in much the same way one hands a pit bull some read meat...

I was thinking Sunny, and I would keep my eyes open for Bolduc and Neighbours. Sunny is going to collect scalps.

I don’t necessarily agree with him, but I do see his point. I think the Blues will give them a good series, but I don’t know if it will be the war that Dallas/Colorado and Tampa/Florida will be. But Winnipeg better not take the Blues lightly. The Jets wouldn’t be the first President’s Cup team to lay an egg.

Wouldn’t a “reverse 2000” be nice right now?Frank Underwood wrote: ↑16 Apr 2025 14:36 pm I don’t necessarily agree with him, but I do see his point. So you're saying he has inside info on how to topple a President's Cup team? I like your thinking!!BalotelliMassive wrote: ↑16 Apr 2025 14:43 pmDidn't Monty coach the most recent...?Frank Underwood wrote: ↑16 Apr 2025 14:36 pm The Jets wouldn’t be the first President’s Cup team to lay an egg.

Wasn't Button routinely fleeced when he made trades?

I foresee a continuation of Craig Button's Cup prediction drought.
Re: TSN's Craig Button foresees an end to the Canadian Cup drought..
Yes. Some of his highlights:
Put Martin St Louis on waivers who was then picked up by Tampa Bay.
Traded Marc Savard to Atlanta for Ruslan Zainullin who I don't think ever played a game.
Traded JS Giguere for a 2nd round pick in order to protect Fred Brathwaite in the expansion draft.

Come out and punch them in right in the mouth. It’s the playoffs..you’re either the Hunter or the hunted

Hope there's more and more of this hype on the Jets.
No doubt they have earned respect but love to see the experts go with their lopsided view of this round 1 series.

Reporting out of TSN.ca share that the Jets are sending out their full lineup in tonights meaningless game against Anaheim - including Hellebyuck who is going after his 47th win of the season. Granted, 47 wins in a season places him in some rarefied air leaving him tied for second all time (behind Brodeur and Holtby) with Parent and Luongo.
Man, if I'm the HC I don't think I'd be doing that. At this time of the season, you should only be chasing one thing. We'll see.

Especially with ehlers out week to week. Why risk an injury?bud white wrote: ↑16 Apr 2025 17:50 pm Reporting out of TSN.ca share that the Jets are sending out their full lineup in tonights meaningless game against Anaheim - including Hellebyuck who is going after his 47th win of the season. I predicted a all Canadian cup before the season. And I think thats still a good bet. A Canadian Cup winner, is a better bet. I'd say as close to a guarantee as one could get.
Edmonton could be one. If there's one player on the team that I want on a hot streak. It's the goaltender and Skinner looks to be climbing on one.
Also don't turn your head on Ottawa. If I was to put some money in. It would be on Ottawa. Odds would pay.
