Pick your poison but I’d honestly prefer the Jets. I think the Blues match up better with them

Depends on who we have healthy. If Thomas isn't healthy thats gonna probably be a pretty quick series on either side especially with Holloway out for at least the first handful of games minimum.

Blues vs Jets was pretty ugly last game… only 15 SOGs mustered by the Blues.

On the plus side, we won't have to deal with the late west coast start times

Either way, it would’ve been a tough climb for the Blues.
I prefer Winnipeg for a couple reasons, but it’s not some wide margin.
Vegas playoff proven
Vegas monster sized Defenseman
Winnipeg has Ehlers out now for round 1
I can’t look at Stone’s face for seven games straight. TV would be punished.

Let's hope they held Thomas out for precaution and it's not serious.
Need Binnington's A game at a minimum. Everyone knows they are going to crash his net

(oh, they are going to start games at 830/845pm central, you know it)

Oh don’t worry, the TV dictates the start time. Blues will likely get hosed a few times. But you are correct, It really will help having LA and Vegas preferred for the late starts.

Hellebuyck chokes in the playoffs. He choked against Canada. Blues in 6.

Did you see the Minnesota tying goal? Ek had 2 wacks at it on the goal line. Then they gave Fleury the net for OT since it was his last regular season game.

Nothing wrong with late start times (me, being in Portland, lol)

Winnipeg will be tough. They will be on a mission. I'm just excited for the Blues to be there and to be in the mix. I really don't have any expectations.

I hope you are right. They are the deeper team, but the pressure will be on them to start.

That is one guy I'll be ecstatic to never see again after this year. He and Keller are the definition of Blues killers.

And personally I would have preferred Vegas. That last game against the Jets was an eye opener. They play a style I'm not sure we can stack up against without Holloway. Snugs is already looking like a ROY candidate for next year so that will help, but really need Hollywood back asap.

Those of us in Connecticut disagree.

Ugh. I hear ya. Lived in Ohio 7 years in Eastern Time Zone. Ohio was OK, but hated Eastern time. Johnny Carson and Saturday Night Live at 11:30 was just so wrong. And following sports was downright painful.

Ducks did the same thing Blues did to blow a point last week. With about 25 seconds to play behind their own net, instead of pinning puck against board and letting time run, they passed it all the way around the board where the Wild kept it in and controlled it, then put it on goal and scored. Why don’t teams know how to just pin it and let clock run out?
