If they do, I hope the away ones are done like the Alumni sweaters from Busch.

I have received several emails and app notifications regularly about jerseys on sale for $79 thru the 15th of April.Section315 wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025 19:03 pm When the Blues heavily discount current inventory, that will be another clue.
Fwiw, they’re clearing out their remaining stock of Adidas jerseys, not any of the newer Fanatics branded stuff. So it’s probably not any kind of clue.
But I do recall speculation when they showed off the tweaked blue note for the Winter Classic that it could be a sign of things to come.
Re: Icethetics says Blues uni changes maybe on the way
Thank you very much for identifying where the Blues jersey talk begins.
So they think that they may use the logo from the sleeve of the winter classic jersey?! At least it pretty much looks like the current logo except a darker blue. I hope the jersey itself doesn’t have the thick lettering and numbers like this winter classic. Kind of stiff feeling and looking.
I really love the design of the logo with the arch and own a couple of the jerseys, but they are really big and heavy to wear. But I do like the arch on there representing the city rather than that squiggly STL treble clef, or whatever that is.
I don’t understand where Icethetics comes in. Does that mean fanatics is out or is that another version of the same company?

I liked it for a year or so, then it went completely south for me.Pierre McGuire wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025 19:44 pmI’m with you…hated that navy jersey with the Arch logo.SouthCityJ wrote: ↑14 Apr 2025 19:42 pmCompletely subjective but I couldn't disagree more. I do not miss those Navy sweaters at all.

Are you guys talking about the one on this year’s Winter Classic sleeve? If so, I loved it for sure. Give me the 90-91 sweaters with that logo on the shoulders.

I don’t think it would be anything in terms of the fabric and style of the lettering. That was just because of the throwback winter classic style. The speculation is that the slightly tweaked blue note from the shoulder of the WC jersey and the STL logo on the WC helmet might be part of the new design.Russdv14 wrote: ↑15 Apr 2025 00:34 am Thank you very much for identifying where the Blues jersey talk begins.

Re: Icethetics, that’s just a blog site about hockey uniforms. They’re just reporting the speculation. Fanatics is still doing the NHL’s jerseys.

Re: Icethetics says Blues uni changes maybe on the way
I bought one of the Adidas heritage jerseys from stl authentics about a week and a half ago or so and posted on here about it 80 bucks had the tie downs and everything and next day shipping couldn't be happier with that purchase and experience.
I hope we go for more of a heritage jersey look they are by far my favorite jersey we wear right now can't wait to get that treble clef on a few hats either..
Keep debating buying one of the Gretzky mitchell and ness clowns.
I have heard multiple times that Stillman doesn't like the navy arch jersey at all and is the reason they were done away with personally.. it's my buddies favorite jersey keep telling him don't count on a rebrand.

Thanks for posting about the jerseys being on sale. I bought my first ever Blues sweater because of this and love it. Can't wait to wear it for the playoffs this year.Unfathomable wrote: ↑15 Apr 2025 04:36 am I bought one of the Adidas heritage jerseys from stl authentics about a week and a half ago or so and posted on here about it 80 bucks had the tie downs and everything and next day shipping couldn't be happier with that purchase and experience.

I am all for the Blues dropping navy from their color scheme. Give me the retro blue color with yellow and white trim. Keep them classy and simple and they will have a winner.
Re: Icethetics says Blues uni changes maybe on the way
There's just something about teams that stick with an EXCELLENT logo and jersey for so long, that it is recognized as a classic and suddenly becomes a popular heritage version on its own -- take Canadiens for example... and even Chicago & Detroit for most of the time over the years.
The Blues logo with just very minor tweaks over time is a classic. The Minnesota North Stars bright green & yellow color is classic. Kind of like the Yankees, Cardinals and Dodgers in baseball.
I can see where some folks may not care for the Blues original color, but a lot do like it...and it is relatively unique. Even the original Penguins colors were very nice. There is so much black, navy blue, etc. throughout the league right now.
it's all in the eyes of the beholder. Look how hard it is for folks in Salt Lake City to just get a consensus on the name!

Re: Icethetics says Blues uni changes maybe on the way
I think it'd be a mistake to make the retro blue note the primary. The current Blue note is just perfect the way it is. I wonder what the retros would look like with the modern Blue note on them?
Re: Icethetics says Blues uni changes maybe on the way
On this site, definitely. Just giving my .02 but the 90’s diagonal jerseys are pretty much despised here as well and the Blues sell the [shirt] out of them. If they make the primary a vintage look, I’ll probably grab a white one. If it’s like the Alumni sweaters from the WC at Busch they were straight fire.

Re: Icethetics says Blues uni changes maybe on the way
Blues fan since early 1968, so here’s my experienced opinion. I like the “throwback” logo. It’s slimmer and the wing tips are more pointed, which gives the illusion of speed. Hated the logo of the late ‘80’s with red accents, the ST. LOUIS word mark, and fat rounded wing tips. Too fat, slow, the red clashed, and was just a disjointed mish-mosh.
As for jersey colors, I prefer the current 2-tone blue over our original single blue color. The single color of our original uniform is just a bit boring. (Even though I fell in love with it in 1968). In general, I prefer the hockey pants to be a different color or shade than the jersey and socks. (Hate the all-black or all-dark navy look some teams wear, and the all-red is no winner either. The Red Wings logo saves them and their white looks 10X better than their home red).
So, here’s my ideal jersey:
Current jersey, but lighten the base blue just a little bit. Keep the navy blue for the pants and trim. Keep the gold (yellow) as-is. Change The Blue Note to the slimmer style and add the cool STL treble clef to the helmet. Or put the circular logo with the Arch and Blue Note on the shoulder and the STL on the helmet or opposite shoulder.
Do NOT go with the dark navy as the base color. Too dark and boring.
All that said, the current Blues jersey and logo is just fine with no changes. It’s handsome, iconic, and hey, it’s what we won The Cup in.
Thanks for listening to the ramblings of an old Blues fan!
