He’s going to be an absolute stud. Hawks, Ducks and Jackets were morons to not take him. Afraid he wouldn’t come over and here he is in the NHL at 19. Was SKA’s leading scorer this year. Very, very skilled.

Being loved by Habs fans must be next level. That was intense. You could tell he felt it

Yep…absolute stud of a player. Montreal stole this dude for sure.
Also of note…Quinn Hutson making his NHL debut tonight for Edmonton

Glad Hutson made it to Edmonton in one piece. Read today where his connecting flight from Denver to Edmonton got a bird, the right engine caught on fire and they had to return to the Denver airport.

The Hawks offered their 25 1st round pick straight up to Columbus to try to get him and Lev. The guy they picked at #2 had an amazing game tonight playing top minutes as a 19 year old defenseman.

Montreal failed to clinch so much like St. Louis the other night (and to the 2nd worst team in the league). Had a 2 goal lead, let it slip away, lost in shootout.
Tough league. Sometimes it is just easier for a team with no pressure to win. Look at how Buffalo has a knack for winning end of season games once they have been eliminated.

Tomorrow we find out what we have in this group of Blues.

Glad the blackhawks don’t have Demidov

And…nothing. Just stating a fact. Kind of an anticlimactic ending to the evening (for Habs fans).

The point is he will remember this game, his impact and how totally bananas the fans were over him for the rest of his life…in a very positive way.

I think Levshunov will be good but I’d still take Demidov over him easily.

I wonder what Bedard was thinking during that game.

I wanted Demidov too along with a significant amount of Hawk fans. Having a 19 year old defenseman already playing 20+ a night and looking great takes the sting away for sure. Last night his first point was because Connor Murphy is a bum and stood there like a statue and on the second point Soderblom froze instead of playing the puck...he thought it was off-sides apparently.

This is the team that traded for Kirby Dach and gave up Frank Nazar plus more...?

I'm not seeing enough Hawk games to get a good read on Nazar yet, what is yours?
(Cullen Potter out of ASU is a similar draft profile, small, fast skilled center, emphasis on small)
