Love it.

Not only is it easier to digest as a viewer, but these shorter games have to help the players our during the long season.

We have to start seeing Gorman over Burleson. I don’t want to (bleep) too much on Burleson, but he was a slightly above league average hitter last year, and he’s barely one right now. He doesn’t hit for a lot of power. He’s not good defensively. Let’s see what Gorman can do.

agree
but I would say we saw some pretty good D at 1B from him his last two games there, including at least one web gem

I dont think burleson is amazing at 1b by any means but i dont think theres anything wrong with his defense there.

People long overexaggerrated how good goldys defense was for us the last few years. Goldy is a great defender in his career but was becoming closer to just slightly above avg in his old age. Others are capable of decent plays from time to time. Peopke acted like everyone that wasnt goldy would play like jose martinez.

Contreras and burleson are just fine defensively there.

His range was diminished but he could still scoop more errant throws than I've ever seen another guy get. He was an absolute lock down receiver over there who made the whole infield significantly better. That skill of his still goes underappreciated somehow...

Really? How many scoop throws so far for the Cards this year?

I claim the "scoop" is highly irregular and thus a non issue
