Hagen Smith 4 IP 10Ks
In his first AA apperance. 2024 will continue to be the lottery I really wish we'd snagged the 5th pick from, maybe even more than in 2025.
Also Nick Kurtz has 6 HRs. Already in AAA.

I’d rather have the 7th pick last year and the 5th pick this year than 5th pick last year and 18th pick this year.

#3 pick Charlie Condon pulled a "Nootbaar" and rolled over his wrist diving for a ball in Spring Training....non-displaced wrist fracture . Slated to resume baseball activities later this month, if all goes well

I don't think the Rockies will have a future in Denver. It's just too difficult to run a team where half your games the ball reacts completely different. It worked for awhile ok but the game has become too fine tuned and the variances are becoming too great. Also the history of player injuries/longevity issues are becoming very prominent. If they don't figure something out in the next 3-5 years I bet you start hearing relocation talks.

Rockies are going no where. We love going to games - even if its just to watch the visiting team, Heck Yankees tix are nearly $100 for the cheaper seats.billybaseball wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 12:23 pmI don't think the Rockies will have a future in Denver. They should be going just about anywhere but Denver, where baseball just was not meant to be played. The venue makes a joke out of the game. And the Rockies will continue to be jokers.Carp4Cy wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 13:26 pmRockies are going no where. The effects of the environment post humidor are overblown. The reason they suck is Monfort is a worse owner and bigger cheapskate than BDW. Sell the team to another local and they can be competitive. Still have to deal with the Pads and Dodgers, but then so do the DBacks.icon wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 14:01 pmThey should be going just about anywhere but Denver, where baseball just was not meant to be played. This is probably a very dumb question; but if they turned their stadium into a controlled dome environment, would that solve the issue?

Going to Coors for a ballgame is great! Nice sightlines, beautiful field, good staff. If you're going to watch a losing team, that is the place to do it.icon wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 14:01 pmThey should be going just about anywhere but Denver, where baseball just was not meant to be played. Coors Field is a top 5 destination ballpark in my opinion. Beautiful stadium. Great downtown area as well with pubs and microbreweries if you like that kind of thing.Barking Lion wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 17:33 pmGoing to Coors for a ballgame is great! The Rockies have finished last three straight seasons averaging around 100 losses each year (preceded by three straight 4th place finishes), yet they have consistently drawn 30,000+ per game. I don’t know if there is another franchise which has lost so much but has drawn so many. The fans deserve better.icon wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 14:01 pmThey should be going just about anywhere but Denver, where baseball just was not meant to be played. The venue makes a joke out of the game.
