Well we got what we wanted, WillyC dropped all the way to #3.
Baker in the #2 hole, that won't clog up the bases one bit.![]()

Doesn't clog up the bases for the MOTO there either.

Seems to me, you don’t want to talk about it, seems to me, you just turn your pretty head and walk away.
Seems to me we have a slow middle order that is less savvy on the base paths. Bad case for stretching anything into anything.

Plus the IL is much less drastic than it used to be when it was minimum 15 days .. now the MLB reduced it by 50 % to 10 days.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 12:01 pmSaw that coming, after the performance of Saggese last night 0 reason to rush him, let that back heal.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 11:57 am Gorman activated

Another thing I like is that the Cardinals do not play any divisional opponent during this 10 day period. Then can get him back after the 22nd in time for the weekend 3 game series vs. divisional rival Milwaukee Brewers followed by 4 games at Cincy vs. the Reds.
Want to have him healthy for those intradivisional games.

would not be surprisingsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 12:19 pm I expect Phillie will be none too happy about a shut out. Plus the Mik on the mound.
I see our run differential being skewed again to the left.

Good point, well thought out. I’m excited to see how Saggese holds up. I’d be giddy AF if he can surge over the next ~10ramfandan wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 12:51 pmPlus the IL is much less drastic than it used to be when it was minimum 15 days .. now the MLB reduced it by 50 % to 10 days.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 12:01 pmSaw that coming, after the performance of Saggese last night 0 reason to rush him, let that back heal.Futuregm2 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 11:57 am Gorman activated

Based on what I saw last time out, phillie will feast. Mik is super accurate and that’s an issue. Hitters know a strike of sorts is coming. Almost like a tip of pitches.82birds wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 13:04 pmwould not be surprisingsikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 12:19 pm I expect Phillie will be none too happy about a shut out. Id rather he have Nado chasing him around the bases than Scott and Saggese.
I look at it this way. If you have Scott and Saggese getting on base Baker is not a bad guy to have hitting behind them.

If MM can go 5, and allow 4, I'd take that right now.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 13:08 pmBased on what I saw last time out, phillie will feast. Mik is super accurate and that’s an issue. J. Walk w/the great catch
He's a +2 DRS, ranks 2nd (tied) among MLB RF'ers!

Great catch Walker! He looks so much better in RF this year.
