Well no one can complain about Contreras batting 2nd lol
Re: GDT: Cards vs. Phillies (4/12) ~ 1:15pm CDT
that was my first thought as well, Ozzie

Re: GDT: Cards vs. Phillies (4/12) ~ 1:15pm CDT
Not only do fans get Mikolas but Baker in 2 hole. Winning the first game vs a very good team and then having to follow with Mikolas is deflating.
If Baker and Contreras get on base it will take a HR to get them around the bases. Hopefully the Donovan - Walker - Pages - Scott grouping can get the offense going with hits and their athleticism.
Looks like a great day for baseball. Go Cards.
Thanks Craviduce for continued awesome work.

Yes, and Oli says, " I have been hearing all the noise about 'how he(Willson) should be dropped down in the lineup . Well, I did it and I hope the crticism will now end . I do listen to the fans when they have a good idea. " Heck if he struggles at 3rd in the next game or two , I might even consider dropping him down to 'cleanup 4th '. Pretty drastic though.. Hope I don't have to drop him that far !"

Thanks for the thread. Surprised that Saggese is starting SS. I expected them to recall Fermin but maybe they expect Winn back Sunday. I was OK with what I saw of Saggese at SS yesterday but realistically he isn't an everyday SS.

Well Contreras is not hitting 2nd.
Re: GDT: Cards vs. Phillies (4/12) ~ 1:15pm CDT
let' say Noot makes an out and Baker singles.
wow, speed on the bases with middle of order coming up.

Thx duce
Well we got what we wanted, WillyC dropped all the way to #3.
Baker in the #2 hole, that won't clog up the bases one bit.

285 lb #2 hitter, right out of the "How to (NOT!) construct your lineup handbook" written by Oli.scoutyjones2 wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 11:09 amIt won't when one or the other or both, slugrockondlouie wrote: ↑12 Apr 2025 11:03 am Thx duce
