I agree on the matchup, but if Calgary wins and runs the table we would be out.
For the purpose of simply making the playoffs a Calgary loss is best.

No. If we win our last 2 games we have 97 points. Best Calgary can do is 96TheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 14:46 pmI agree on the matchup, but if Calgary wins and runs the table we would be out.

But if we don't win one and Calgary does win out, that gives them 96 and us 95. I would much rather see Calgary take few losses and worry about the match-ups later. Get in first, worry later.netboy65 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 15:34 pmNo. If we win our last 2 games we have 97 points. Well sure, but that implied that so long as Calgary wins out they’re in and that’s not true.Aesa wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 15:38 pmBut if we don't win one and Calgary does win out, that gives them 96 and us 95. My mistake. I was thinking they still had 5 games left.netboy65 wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 15:34 pmNo. If we win our last 2 games we have 97 points. Best Calgary can do is 96TheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 14:46 pmI agree on the matchup, but if Calgary wins and runs the table we would be out.

No worries! Since it seems like they never play I can understand the mistake!TheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 15:47 pmMy mistake. My father never called me son because I was bright.TheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 14:23 pmI appreciate the enthusiasm, but....we play tomorrow night.TAFKAP wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 14:08 pmI want the Pacific because I want the Oilers. Especially after that game. If we lose tonight, we deserve not to make the playoffs. You can't lose 3 in a row after 12 straight. New streak starts tonight! LGB!!!!!TheJackBurton wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 11:41 am The only reason to want the Pacific is because it likely is the easier path to the WCF.
If you are in the Central, that path is Winnipeg and then Col/Dal.
That being said, just get in and see where the road takes us.
I would think every one on this board would say get in FIRST, then worry about who we play.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 17:36 pmI want Calgary to knock Minnesota out of the playoffs for multiple reasons. Looks like we are in the minority on this.
Ultimately yeah, but the odds of that happening are incredibly low, especially with Kaprizov back.Stlcardsblues wrote: ↑11 Apr 2025 17:36 pmI want Calgary to knock Minnesota out of the playoffs for multiple reasons. Looks like we are in the minority on this.
