OT: Kyren Paris
Angels nobody goes from hitting .167 between AA and AAA last year with a .532 OPS to hitting .400 with 5 HRs and 4 SBs in 10 games this year. The first player since Larry Walker in 1997 to hit 5+ HRs and steal 4+ bases in their first 10 games of a season.

AA and AAA seasons aren't precise indicators. Sometimes Spring Training and other means need to be considered. Hope he continues, he looks like a special player when we faced him. They were all sad Odell was coming back, lol.

It's not always a linear process. Sometimes it just "clicks". Sometimes they've found the perfect instructor who found that minuscule flaw in the swing. Sometimes there's chemical enhancement. Sometimes the pitchers just haven't found the hole in the swing.Alex Reyes Cy Young wrote: ↑10 Apr 2025 11:54 amAA and AAA seasons aren't precise indicators. Always good for board fodder & speculation though.

Reminds me of my golf swing. I used to be absolutely horrific with my irons. I finally closed my front shoulder down a little ~3 degrees closed of target and it's literally solved world hunger for me. My shoulder through impact now are aligned with the target line. For whatever reason I kept spinning out during transition. That little extra closure bought me time through the downswing, anyway carry on!jw0595 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2025 12:06 pmIt's not always a linear process. Sometimes it just "clicks". Like you said sometimes it's one observation and it solves the whole thing.

Or he sold his soul for a shot at fame when it looked like the door was closing.jw0595 wrote: ↑10 Apr 2025 12:06 pmIt's not always a linear process. Sometimes it just "clicks".
