with the 20.5 MM per school will it give those without CFB a huge advantage in what they can spend in Portal? That' why Maryland coach headed to villanova when he had a good program set up. SLU could suddenly be a regional power with a large NIL budget and many others.
As always we shall see how things turn out in this decade of change in college sports where the gloves are off and the cheaters like Pearl, Self, Cal and the others are not the only ones handing out big bags of cash.
Hopefully the Walmart heirs in Columbia who love them some CBB kick in big dollars to help out Gates and MU be competitive.

I don't fully understand the 20MM that the schools have been allowed to budget for players. Does that have to be spread to ALL sports? Is it designated for certain sports, is there a designated percentage that has to be wasted on women's sports? Does that affect NIL? I mean the kids can still get marketing deals with companies right? I don't see how this really changes anything. What needs to change are "letter of intent". They need to become binding contracts and they need to have required standard language that allows schools to have some stability. If a kid wants to go to another school then the schools can negotiate a buyout. What I hate in all this is that agents and lawyers are making too much money. That'll never change.
