One thing I'm still cautious of, though, is that it doesn't turn out to be some kind of giant mystery box that they don't ever end up unraveling at the end. I'm hoping they have a well thought out ending, and they go with it, and don't try to drag the show out well past its usefulness.
I have read some interviews with Ben Stiller, and others, that they do have a plan for the ending. I really hope it's not at the end of season 7. I think you have 1 or 2 more seasons, and then you wrap it up. I don't need (or want) 7-8+ seasons of this. The show is great, but end it wanting more, not people jumping ship after season 6. IMO

Yeah if it goes past 4 seasons it will diminish everything that came before. And yes it seems like both Stiller and Erickson have a pretty firm idea of where it will go and what is happening. Still a decent chance it's a dumb resolution, but it's heartening that there's a plan at least, and in the meantime the characters, dialogue, cinematography and editing will be very rewarding at least.

I’ve always wondered what would happen if Kafka, Sartre & Kubrick collaborated on a project with the sole purpose of [fork]ing with your brain. Finally, an answer.
